不要讓希西加唆哄你們，說：耶和華必解救我們。列國的神明中，有哪一個曾解救自己的國土脫離亞述王的手呢？

爾其慎之、免受希西家之勸曰、耶和華必救我儕也、夫列邦之神、有一曾拯其國、脫於亞述王手乎、

希西家言、爾必見拯於耶和華、爾勿聽焉、四方民所事之上帝、豈得救其國、脫於亞述王手乎、

希西家誘爾曰、主必救我儕、爾勿聽之、列國之諸神、何嘗有神救其國、脫於亞述王之手、

“ Do not let Hezekiah mislead you when he says,‘ The Lord will deliver us.’ Have the gods of any nations ever delivered their lands from the hand of the king of Assyria?

“‘ Don’t let Hezekiah fool you. He’s telling you a lie when he says,“ The Lord will save us.” Have the gods of any nations ever saved their lands from the power of the king of Assyria?

Beware lest Hezekiah mislead you by saying,“ The Lord will deliver us.” Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

“ Don’t let Hezekiah mislead you by saying,‘ The Lord will rescue us!’ Have the gods of any other nations ever saved their people from the king of Assyria?

Beware that Hezekiah does not mislead you by saying,‘ The LORD will rescue us.’ Has any one of the gods of the nations rescued his land from the power of the king of Assyria?

Beware that Hezekiah does not mislead you, saying,“ The Lord will save us.” Has any one of the gods of the nations saved his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying,“ The Lord will deliver us.” Has any one of the gods of the nations delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria?

Beware that Hezekiah does not mislead you by saying,‘ The Lord will deliver us.’ Has any one of the gods of the nations delivered his land from the power of the king of Assyria?

[ Beware] lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Hezekiah is misleading you when he says,“ The LORD will rescue us.” Has any of the gods of the nations rescued his land from the power of the king of Assyria?

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying,“ Yahweh will deliver us.” Have any of the gods of the nations delivered their lands from the hand of the king of Assyria?

neither let Hezekiah make you trust in Jehovah, saying, Jehovah will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

For the customs of the peoples are vanity; for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe.They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.They are like a palm- tree, of turned work, and speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.

Incline thine ear, O Jehovah, and hear; open thine eyes, O Jehovah, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, who hath sent to defy the living God.Of a truth, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the countries, and their land,

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden that were in Telassar?Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?

How great are thy works, O Jehovah! Thy thoughts are very deep.A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this:When the wicked spring as the grass, And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.

And am I now come up without Jehovah against this land to destroy it? Jehovah said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

But Jehovah is the true God; he is the living God, and an everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide his indignation.Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens.

But if thou say unto me, We trust in Jehovah our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?

For I know that Jehovah is great, And that our Lord is above all gods.Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, that hath he done, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;

Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden that were in Telassar?Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?

Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made, well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that god that shall deliver you out of my hands?

Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto all the peoples of the lands? Were the gods of the nations of the lands in any wise able to deliver their land out of my hand?Who was there among all the gods of those nations which my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of my hand?Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you after this manner, neither believe ye him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?And his servants spake yet more against Jehovah God, and against his servant Hezekiah.He wrote also letters, to rail on Jehovah, the God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of the lands, which have not delivered their people out of my hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of my hand.

Of a truth, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them.

Wherefore should the nations say, Where is now their God?But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever he pleased.Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands.They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not;They have ears, but they hear not; Noses have they, but they smell not;They have hands, but they handle not; Feet have they, but they walk not; Neither speak they through their throat.They that make them shall be like unto them; Yea, every one that trusteth in them.

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands.They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not;They have ears, but they hear not; Neither is there any breath in their mouths.They that make them shall be like unto them; Yea, every one that trusteth in them.

Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise! Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.But Jehovah is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

Hath any of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah? have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of my hand, that Jehovah should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
