Thus says the king:‘ Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you.

This is what the king says: Do not let Hezekiah deceive you. He cannot deliver you!

He says,‘ Don’t let Hezekiah trick you. He can’t save you!

This is what the king says: Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you. He will never be able to rescue you.

This is what the king says:“ Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you, for he cannot rescue you.

This is what the king says:‘ Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to save you;

Thus says the king:‘ Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you;

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you; for he will not be able to deliver you:

This is what the king says:“ Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you, for he cannot deliver you.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you.

This is what the king says:‘ Don’t let Hezekiah mislead you, for he is not able to rescue you!

The king says,‘ Don’t let Hezekiah deceive you; for he will not be able to deliver you.

Is not Hezekiah misleading you, that he may give you over to die by famine and by thirst, when he tells you,“ The Lord our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria”?

Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king,“ O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to deliver their lands out of my hand?Who among all the gods of those nations that my fathers devoted to destruction was able to deliver his people from my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you from my hand?Now, therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or mislead you in this fashion, and do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand or from the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you out of my hand!’”And his servants said still more against the Lord God and against his servant Hezekiah.And he wrote letters to cast contempt on the Lord, the God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying,“ Like the gods of the nations of the lands who have not delivered their people from my hands, so the God of Hezekiah will not deliver his people from my hand.”And they shouted it with a loud voice in the language of Judah to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten and terrify them, in order that they might take the city.And they spoke of the God of Jerusalem as they spoke of the gods of the peoples of the earth, which are the work of men’s hands.

“ Whom have you mocked and reviled? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes to the heights? Against the Holy One of Israel!

He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.

who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

“ Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah:‘ Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you by promising that Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, devoting them to destruction. And shall you be delivered?Have the gods of the nations delivered them, the nations that my fathers destroyed, Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar?Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, the king of Hena, or the king of Ivvah?’”

As he came near to the den where Daniel was, he cried out in a tone of anguish. The king declared to Daniel,“ O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”

And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months.It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven.
