Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

Those who can’t walk will leap like a deer. And those who can’t speak will shout for joy. Water will pour out in dry places. Streams will flow in the desert.

Now he was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon came out, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed.

The reckless mind will gain knowledge, and the stammering tongue will speak clearly and fluently.

Just as they were going out, a demon-possessed man who was unable to speak was brought to him.When the demon had been driven out, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed, saying,“ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and unable to speak was brought to him. He healed him, so that the man could both speak and see.

I am going to stand there in front of you on the rock at Horeb; when you hit the rock, water will come out of it and the people will drink.” Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.

You provided bread from heaven for their hunger; you brought them water from the rock for their thirst. You told them to go in and possess the land you had sworn to give them.

Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff, so that abundant water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.

The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I will answer them. I am the LORD, the God of Israel. I will not abandon them.I will open rivers on the barren heights, and springs in the middle of the plains. I will turn the desert into a pool and dry land into springs.

Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.Wild animals— jackals and ostriches— will honor me, because I provide water in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people.

The blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

They brought to him a deaf man who had difficulty speaking and begged Jesus to lay his hand on him.So he took him away from the crowd in private. After putting his fingers in the man’s ears and spitting, he touched his tongue.Looking up to heaven, he sighed deeply and said to him,“ Ephphatha!”( that is,“ Be opened!”).Immediately his ears were opened, his tongue was loosened, and he began to speak clearly.He ordered them to tell no one, but the more he ordered them, the more they proclaimed it.They were extremely astonished and said,“ He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

Both the Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” Let anyone who hears, say,“ Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come. Let the one who desires take the water of life freely.

A man who was lame from birth was being carried there. He was placed each day at the temple gate called Beautiful, so that he could beg from those entering the temple.

and large crowds came to him, including the lame, the blind, the crippled, those unable to speak, and many others. They put them at his feet, and he healed them.So the crowd was amazed when they saw those unable to speak talking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing, and they gave glory to the God of Israel.

Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.

Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue set free, and he began to speak, praising God.

The wilderness and the dry land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a wildflower.

He split rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink as abundant as the depths.He brought streams out of the stone and made water flow down like rivers.

Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple and there was water flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the temple faced east. The water was coming down from under the south side of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar.Next he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate that faced east; there the water was trickling from the south side.As the man went out east with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a third of a mile and led me through the water. It came up to my waist.Again he measured off a third of a mile, and it was a river that I could not cross on foot. For the water had risen; it was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be crossed on foot.He asked me,“ Do you see this, son of man?” Then he led me back to the bank of the river.When I had returned, I saw a very large number of trees along both sides of the riverbank.He said to me,“ This water flows out to the eastern region and goes down to the Arabah. When it enters the sea, the sea of foul water, the water of the sea becomes fresh.Every kind of living creature that swarms will live wherever the river flows, and there will be a huge number of fish because this water goes there. Since the water will become fresh, there will be life everywhere the river goes.Fishermen will stand beside it from En-gedi to En-eglaim. These will become places where nets are spread out to dry. Their fish will consist of many different kinds, like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.Yet its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be left for salt.

But Peter said,“ I don’t have silver or gold, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”Then, taking him by the right hand he raised him up, and at once his feet and ankles became strong.So he jumped up and started to walk, and he entered the temple with them— walking, leaping, and praising God.

They did not thirst when he led them through the deserts; he made water flow from the rock for them; he split the rock, and water gushed out.

There is a river— its streams delight the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.

In Lystra a man was sitting who was without strength in his feet, had never walked, and had been lame from birth.He listened as Paul spoke. After looking directly at him and seeing that he had faith to be healed,Paul said in a loud voice,“ Stand up on your feet!” And he jumped up and began to walk around.

They will not hunger or thirst, the scorching heat or sun will not strike them; for their compassionate one will guide them, and lead them to springs.I will make all my mountains into a road, and my highways will be raised up.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

Someone from the crowd answered him,“ Teacher, I brought my son to you. He has a spirit that makes him unable to speak.Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive it out, but they couldn’t.”He replied to them,“ You unbelieving generation, how long will I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring him to me.”So they brought the boy to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into convulsions. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.“ How long has this been happening to him?” Jesus asked his father.“ From childhood,” he said.“ And many times it has thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”Jesus said to him,“‘ If you can’? Everything is possible for the one who believes.”Immediately the father of the boy cried out,“ I do believe; help my unbelief!”When Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ You mute and deaf spirit, I command you: Come out of him and never enter him again.”

On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news,

Then he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed, and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea, in summer and winter alike.
