For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a time of paying back Edom for its hostility against Zion.

这是耶和华报仇之日，为锡安伸冤的报应之年。

因为这是耶和华报应的日子，是祂为锡安报仇之年。

因为耶和华有报仇的日子，为锡安的案件，必有报应之年。

这就是耶和华报复之日，是为锡安的争讼施行报应的年日。

蓋耶和華有復仇之日、為錫安之故、有報施之年、

我為郇邑、報仇洩憤、正在斯時、

因主有復仇之日、有為郇伸冤報復之年、

For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion’s cause.

That’s because the Lord has set aside a day to pay Edom back. He has set aside a year to pay them back. He will pay them back for what they did to Zion.

For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

For it is the day of the Lord’s revenge, the year when Edom will be paid back for all it did to Israel.

For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a time of paying back Edom for its hostility against Zion.

For the Lord has a day of vengeance, A year of retribution for the cause of Zion.

For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, The year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

For Jehovah hath a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

For[ it is] the day of the LORD’S vengeance,[ and] the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

For the LORD has planned a day of revenge, a time when he will repay Edom for her hostility toward Zion.

For Yahweh has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,

For I planned the day of vengeance, and the year of My redemption came.

Lord, God of vengeance— God of vengeance, appear.

Say to the cowardly:“ Be strong; do not fear! Here is your God; vengeance is coming. God’s retribution is coming; He will save you.”

They cried out with a loud voice:“ Lord, the One who is holy and true, how long until You judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?”So a white robe was given to each of them, and they were told to rest a little while longer until the number would be completed of their fellow slaves and their brothers, who were going to be killed just as they had been.

Rejoice over her, heaven, and you saints, apostles, and prophets, because God has executed your judgment on her!

because His judgments are true and righteous, because He has judged the notorious prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality; and He has avenged the blood of His slaves that was on her hands.

That day belongs to the Lord, the God of Hosts, a day of vengeance to avenge Himself against His adversaries. The sword will devour and be satisfied; it will drink its fill of their blood, because it will be a sacrifice to the Lord, the God of Hosts, in the northern land by the Euphrates River.

I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh, and they will be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine. Then all flesh will know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

but wrath and indignation to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth but are obeying unrighteousness;affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;

since it is righteous for God to repay with affliction those who afflict youand to reward with rest you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His powerful angels,taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strengthin that day when He comes to be glorified by His saints and to be admired by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.

Now listen to what the Lord is saying: Rise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice.

He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and He wrapped Himself in zeal as in a cloak.So He will repay according to their deeds: fury to His enemies, retribution to His foes, and He will repay the coastlands.

Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay. In time their foot will slip, for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly.”

when I sharpen My flashing sword, and My hand takes hold of judgment, I will take vengeance on My adversaries and repay those who hate Me.I will make My arrows drunk with blood while My sword devours flesh— the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.”Rejoice, you nations, concerning His people, for He will avenge the blood of His servants. He will take vengeance on His adversaries; He will purify His land and His people.

But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.

Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?

For look, the Lord is coming from His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth will reveal the blood shed on it and will no longer conceal her slain.
