He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

He will be the firm foundation for their entire lives. He will give them all the wisdom, knowledge and saving power they will ever need. Respect for the Lord is the key to that treasure.

In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah is thy treasure.

There will be times of security for you— a storehouse of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times,[ and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD[ is] his treasure.

There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of Yahweh is your treasure.

For“ physical exercise has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. It holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.”

But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

The LORD delivers and vindicates me! I fear no one! The LORD protects my life! I am afraid of no one!When evil men attack me to devour my flesh, when my adversaries and enemies attack me, they stumble and fall.

Fearing the LORD leads to life, and one who does so will live satisfied; he will not be afflicted by calamity.

Praise the LORD! How blessed is the one who obeys the LORD, who takes great delight in keeping his commands.His descendants will be powerful on the earth; the godly will be blessed.His house contains wealth and riches; his integrity endures.

The LORD’s spirit will rest on him– a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the LORD.He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.Justice will be like a belt around his waist, integrity will be like a belt around his hips.

The fear of the LORD is like a life-giving fountain, to turn people from deadly snares.

By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established;by knowledge its rooms are filled with all kinds of precious and pleasing treasures.A wise warrior is strong, and a man of knowledge makes his strength stronger;for with guidance you wage your war, and with numerous advisers there is victory.Wisdom is unattainable for a fool; in court he does not open his mouth.

Wisdom gives a wise person more protection than ten rulers in a city.

King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz prayed about this and cried out to heaven.The LORD sent a messenger and he wiped out all the soldiers, princes, and officers in the army of the king of Assyria. So Sennacherib returned home humiliated. When he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons struck him down with the sword.

Now godliness combined with contentment brings great profit.

For wisdom provides protection, just as money provides protection. But the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves the life of its owner.

“ Go and tell Hezekiah:‘ This is what the LORD God of your ancestor David says:“ I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Look, I will add fifteen years to your life,and rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will shield this city.”’”

Like a roaring lion or a roving bear, so is a wicked ruler over a poor people.The prince who is a great oppressor lacks wisdom, but the one who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.

Look up at the sky! Look at the earth below! For the sky will dissipate like smoke, and the earth will wear out like clothes; its residents will die like gnats. But the deliverance I give is permanent; the vindication I provide will not disappear.

Appear in your majesty and be victorious! Ride forth for the sake of what is right, on behalf of justice! Then your right hand will accomplish mighty acts!

The LORD strengthens his people; he protects and delivers his chosen king.

Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth and turmoil with it.

There was once a small city with a few men in it, and a mighty king attacked it, besieging it and building strong siege works against it.However, a poor but wise man lived in the city, and he could have delivered the city by his wisdom, but no one listened to that poor man.So I concluded that wisdom is better than might, but a poor man’s wisdom is despised; no one ever listens to his advice.The words of the wise are heard in quiet, more than the shouting of a ruler is heard among fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner can destroy much that is good.

When a country is rebellious it has many princes, but by someone who is discerning and knowledgeable order is maintained.

Hezekiah was very wealthy and greatly respected. He made storehouses for his silver, gold, precious stones, spices, and all his other valuable possessions.He made storerooms for the harvest of grain, wine, and olive oil, and stalls for all his various kinds of livestock and his flocks.He built royal cities and owned a large number of sheep and cattle, for God gave him a huge amount of possessions.

O sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle.

as sorrowful, but always rejoicing, as poor, but making many rich, as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

A king brings stability to a land by justice, but one who exacts tribute tears it down.

Does it make you any more of a king that you outstrip everyone else in building with cedar? Just think about your father. He was content that he had food and drink. He did what was just and right. So things went well with him.He upheld the cause of the poor and needy. So things went well for Judah.’ The LORD says,‘ That is a good example of what it means to know me.’But you are always thinking and looking for ways to increase your wealth by dishonest means. Your eyes and your heart are set on killing some innocent person and committing fraud and oppression.
