He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

He will be the firm foundation for their entire lives. He will give them all the wisdom, knowledge and saving power they will ever need. Respect for the Lord is the key to that treasure.

and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

There will be times of security for you— a storehouse of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

He is your constant source of stability; he abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; he gives all this to those who fear him.

There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of Yahweh is your treasure.

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The LORD[ is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD[ is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?When the wicked,[ even] mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

The fear of the LORD[ tendeth] to life: and[ he that hath it] shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed[ is] the man[ that] feareth the LORD,[ that] delighteth greatly in his commandments.His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.Wealth and riches[ shall be] in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

The fear of the LORD[ is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.A wise man[ is] strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors[ there is] safety.Wisdom[ is] too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty[ men] which are in the city.

And for this[ cause] Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For wisdom[ is] a defence,[ and] money[ is] a defence: but the excellency of knowledge[ is, that] wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.

[ As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear;[ so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.The prince that wanteth understanding[ is] also a great oppressor:[ but] he that hateth covetousness shall prolong[ his] days.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness[ and] righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

The LORD[ is] their strength, and he[ is] the saving strength of his anointed.

Better[ is] little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.

[ There was] a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.Then said I, Wisdom[ is] better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom[ is] despised, and his words are not heard.The words of wise[ men are] heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.Wisdom[ is] better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

For the transgression of a land many[ are] the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding[ and] knowledge the state[ thereof] shall be prolonged.

And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels;Storehouses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance very much.

O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and[ yet] possessing all things.

The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.

Shalt thou reign, because thou closest[ thyself] in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice,[ and] then[ it was] well with him?He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then[ it was] well[ with him: was] not this to know me? saith the LORD.But thine eyes and thine heart[ are] not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do[ it].
