He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

He will be the firm foundation for their entire lives. He will give them all the wisdom, knowledge and saving power they will ever need. Respect for the Lord is the key to that treasure.

and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

For the training of the body has limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.

The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— whom should I dread?When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell.

The fear of the LORD leads to life; one will sleep at night without danger.

Hallelujah! Happy is the person who fears the LORD, taking great delight in his commands.His descendants will be powerful in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him— a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, he will not execute justice by what he hears with his ears,but he will judge the poor righteously and execute justice for the oppressed of the land. He will strike the land with a scepter from his mouth, and he will kill the wicked with a command from his lips.Righteousness will be a belt around his hips; faithfulness will be a belt around his waist.

The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning people away from the snares of death.

A house is built by wisdom, and it is established by understanding;by knowledge the rooms are filled with every precious and beautiful treasure.A wise warrior is better than a strong one, and a man of knowledge than one of strength;for you should wage war with sound guidance— victory comes with many counselors.Wisdom is inaccessible to a fool; he does not open his mouth at the city gate.

Wisdom makes the wise person stronger than ten rulers of a city.

King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz prayed about this and cried out to heaven,and the LORD sent an angel who annihilated every valiant warrior, leader, and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned in disgrace to his land. He went to the temple of his god, and there some of his own children struck him down with the sword.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

because wisdom is protection as silver is protection; but the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of its owner.

“ Go and tell Hezekiah,‘ This is what the LORD God of your ancestor David says: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Look, I am going to add fifteen years to your life.And I will rescue you and this city from the grasp of the king of Assyria; I will defend this city.

A wicked ruler over a helpless people is like a roaring lion or a charging bear.A leader who lacks understanding is very oppressive, but one who hates dishonest profit prolongs his life.

Look up to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die like gnats. But my salvation will last forever, and my righteousness will never be shattered.

in your splendor ride triumphantly in the cause of truth, humility, and justice. May your right hand show your awe-inspiring acts.

The LORD is the strength of his people; he is a stronghold of salvation for his anointed.

Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure with turmoil.

There was a small city with few men in it. A great king came against it, surrounded it, and built large siege works against it.Now a poor wise man was found in the city, and he delivered the city by his wisdom. Yet no one remembered that poor man.And I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength, but the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not heeded.”The calm words of the wise are heeded more than the shouts of a ruler over fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner can destroy much good.

When a land is in rebellion, it has many rulers, but with a discerning and knowledgeable person, it endures.

Hezekiah had abundant riches and glory, and he made himself treasuries for silver, gold, precious stones, spices, shields, and every desirable item.He made warehouses for the harvest of grain, new wine, and fresh oil, and stalls for all kinds of cattle, and pens for flocks.He made cities for himself, and he acquired vast numbers of flocks and herds, for God gave him abundant possessions.

LORD, my Lord, my strong Savior, you shield my head on the day of battle.

as grieving, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet enriching many; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.

By justice a king brings stability to a land, but a person who demands“ contributions” demolishes it.

Are you a king because you excel in cedar? Didn’t your father eat and drink and administer justice and righteousness? Then it went well with him.He took up the case of the poor and needy; then it went well. Is this not what it means to know me? This is the LORD’s declaration.But you have eyes and a heart for nothing except your own dishonest profit, shedding innocent blood and committing extortion and oppression.
