He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.

He will be the firm foundation for their entire lives. He will give them all the wisdom, knowledge and saving power they will ever need. Respect for the Lord is the key to that treasure.

There will be times of security for you— a storehouse of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times,[ and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD[ is] his treasure.

He is your constant source of stability; he abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; he gives all this to those who fear him.

There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of Yahweh is your treasure.

for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.

But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?When evil- doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, Even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

The fear of Jehovah tendeth to life; And he that hath it shall abide satisfied; He shall not be visited with evil.

Praise ye Jehovah. Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.Wealth and riches are in his house; And his righteousness endureth for ever.

And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.And righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins.

The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, That one may depart from the snares of death.

Through wisdom is a house builded; And by understanding it is established;And by knowledge are the chambers filled With all precious and pleasant riches.A wise man is strong; Yea, a man of knowledge increaseth might.For by wise guidance thou shalt make thy war; And in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.Wisdom is too high for a fool: He openeth not his mouth in the gate.

Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers that are in a city.

And Hezekiah the king, and Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz, prayed because of this, and cried to heaven.And Jehovah sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth from his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

But godliness with contentment is great gain:

For wisdom is a defence, even as money is a defence; but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserveth the life of him that hath it.

Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city.

As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear, So is a wicked ruler over a poor people.The prince that lacketh understanding is also a great oppressor; But he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, Because of truth and meekness and righteousness: And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

Jehovah is their strength, And he is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.

Better is little, with the fear of Jehovah, Than great treasure and trouble therewith.

There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it.Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.The words of the wise heard in quiet are better than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroyeth much good.

For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof; But by men of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honor: and he provided him treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of goodly vessels;store- houses also for the increase of grain and new wine and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and flocks in folds.Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance; for God had given him very much substance.

O Jehovah the Lord, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

The king by justice establisheth the land; But he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it.

Shalt thou reign, because thou strivest to excel in cedar? Did not thy father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? then it was well with him.He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Was not this to know me? saith Jehovah.But thine eyes and thy heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
