Your rigging hangs loose: The mast is not held secure, the sail is not spread. Then an abundance of spoils will be divided and even the lame will carry off plunder.

The ropes on your ship hang loose. The mast isn’t very secure. The sail isn’t spread out. But the Lord will strike down the Assyrians. Then a large amount of goods will be taken from them and divided up. Even people who are disabled will carry off some of it.

Your cords hang loose; they cannot hold the mast firm in its place or keep the sail spread out. Then prey and spoil in abundance will be divided; even the lame will take the prey.

The enemies’ sails hang loose on broken masts with useless tackle. Their treasure will be divided by the people of God. Even the lame will take their share!

Your tackle is loosed, They could not strengthen their mast, They could not spread the sail. Then the prey of great plunder is divided; The lame take the prey.

Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not strengthen the foot of their mast, they could not spread the sail: then was the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame took the prey.

那些長痲瘋的人到了營邊，進了一座帳棚，吃了喝了，從當中拿走金銀和衣服，收藏起來。他們又回來，進了另一座帳棚，從當中拿走財物去收藏。

但是，神揀選了世上愚拙的，為了使有智慧的羞愧；又揀選了世上軟弱的，為了使強壯的羞愧。

「統領大軍的君王逃跑了，逃跑了！」在家等候的婦女也分得了掠物。

在那裏，威嚴的耶和華對我們是寬闊的江河，其中必沒有搖槳的小船來往，也沒有巨大的船舶經過。

你們的擄物必被斂盡，有如螞蚱斂盡禾稼；人為擄物奔走，宛如蝗蟲蹦跳。

禍哉！你這未遭毀滅而毀滅人的人，人未以詭詐待你而你以詭詐待人的人！等你行完了毀滅，自己必被毀滅；你行完了詭詐，人必以詭詐待你。

水手想棄船逃走，把救生艇縋下海裏，假裝要從船頭拋錨的樣子。保羅對百夫長和士兵說：「這些人若不留在船上，你們就不能獲救。」於是士兵砍斷救生艇的繩子，由它漂去。

大衛帶着四百人往前追趕；有二百人疲乏，不能過比梭溪，留在那裏。

百姓就出去，擄掠亞蘭人的軍營。於是一細亞細麵只賣一舍客勒，二細亞大麥也賣一舍客勒，正如耶和華所說的。

約沙法和他的百姓就來收取掠物，找到許多牲畜、財物、衣服和珍寶。他們取掠物歸為己有，直到無法攜帶；因為掠物太多，他們足足收取了三日。

於是他們砍斷纜索，把錨丟到海裏，同時也鬆開舵繩，拉起頭篷，順風向着岸行去。但碰到兩水夾流的地方，就擱了淺，船頭膠住不動，船尾被浪的猛力衝壞了。

划槳的把你划到水深之處，東風在海中將你擊破。你的財寶、商品、貨物、水手、掌舵的、修補船縫的、進行貨物交易的，並你那裏所有的戰士和你中間所有的軍隊，在你傾覆的日子都必沉在海底。因掌舵者的呼聲，郊野就必震動。所有划槳的都從他們的船下來；水手和所有在海上掌舵的，都要登岸。他們必為你放聲痛哭，撒塵土於頭上，在灰中打滾；又為你使頭光禿，用麻布束腰，號咷痛哭，痛苦至極。他們哀號的時候，為你作哀歌，為你痛哭：有何城如推羅，在海中沉寂呢？你由海上運出商品，使許多民族充裕；你以許多財寶貨物令地上的君王豐富。在深水中被海浪打破的時候，你的貨物和你中間所有的軍隊都下沉。

第三天，他們又親手把船上的器具拋棄了。

跟隨大衛去的人中，每一個惡人和無賴都說：「這些人既然沒有和我同去，我們所奪的財物就不分給他們，只把他們各人的妻子兒女給他們，讓他們帶回去就好了。」大衛說：「我的弟兄，耶和華所賜給我們的，你們不可這麼做，因為他保佑了我們，把那羣來攻擊我們的人交在我們手裏。誰肯在這事上聽你們呢？上陣的分得多少，留下看守物件的也分得多少，大家應當平分。」
