You who are far away, hear what I have done; you who are near, acknowledge my power!

Listen to me, you coastlands! Pay attention, you people who live far away! The LORD summoned me from birth; he commissioned me when my mother brought me into the world.

The praise you receive as far away as the ends of the earth is worthy of your reputation, O God. You execute justice!

Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh– who are called“ uncircumcision” by the so- called“ circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands–that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, the one who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility,when he nullified in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace,and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed.And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,so that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Once the satraps, prefects, governors, and ministers of the king had gathered around, they saw that those men were physically unharmed by the fire. The hair of their heads was not singed, nor were their trousers damaged. Not even the smell of fire was to be found on them!Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed,“ Praised be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent forth his angel and has rescued his servants who trusted in him, ignoring the edict of the king and giving up their bodies rather than serve or pay homage to any god other than their God!I hereby decree that any people, nation, or language group that blasphemes the god of Shadrach, Meshach, or Abednego will be dismembered and his home reduced to rubble! For there exists no other god who can deliver in this way.”Then Nebuchadnezzar promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.( 3: 31)“ King Nebuchadnezzar, to all peoples, nations, and language groups that live in all the land: Peace and prosperity!I am delighted to tell you about the signs and wonders that the most high God has done for me.“ How great are his signs! How mighty are his wonders! His kingdom will last forever, and his authority continues from one generation to the next.”

The LORD is elevated in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations.Let them praise your great and awesome name! He is holy!

She said to the men,“ I know the LORD is handing this land over to you. We are absolutely terrified of you, and all who live in the land are cringing before you.For we heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you left Egypt and how you annihilated the two Amorite kings, Sihon and Og, on the other side of the Jordan.When we heard the news we lost our courage and no one could even breathe for fear of you. For the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below!

This very day the LORD will deliver you into my hand! I will strike you down and cut off your head. This day I will give the corpses of the Philistine army to the birds of the sky and the wild animals of the land. Then all the land will realize that Israel has a God

I am the one who gives them reason to celebrate. Complete prosperity is available both to those who are far away and those who are nearby,” says the LORD,“ and I will heal them.

All you who live in the world, who reside on the earth, you will see a signal flag raised on the mountains; you will hear a trumpet being blown.

Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and language groups who were living in all the land:“ Peace and prosperity!I have issued an edict that throughout all the dominion of my kingdom people are to revere and fear the God of Daniel.“ For he is the living God; he endures forever. His kingdom will not be destroyed; his authority is forever.He rescues and delivers and performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions!”

Now, O LORD our God, rescue us from his power, so all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the LORD.”

Nations are in uproar, kingdoms are overthrown. God gives a shout, the earth dissolves.The LORD who commands armies is on our side! The God of Jacob is our protector!( Selah)Come! Witness the exploits of the LORD, who brings devastation to the earth!He brings an end to wars throughout the earth; he shatters the bow and breaks the spear; he burns the shields with fire.He says,“ Stop your striving and recognize that I am God! I will be exalted over the nations! I will be exalted over the earth!”The LORD who commands armies is on our side! The God of Jacob is our protector!( Selah)

The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.

Zion hears and rejoices, the towns of Judah are happy, because of your judgments, O LORD.

They told him,“ Your subjects have come from a very distant land because of the reputation of the LORD your God, for we have heard the news about all he did in Egyptand all he did to the two Amorite kings on the other side of the Jordan– King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan in Ashtaroth.

He has made his people victorious, and given all his loyal followers reason to praise– the Israelites, the people who are close to him. Praise the LORD!

Extol the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!For he makes the bars of your gates strong. He blesses your children within you.He brings peace to your territory. He abundantly provides for you the best grain.

Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven residing in Jerusalem.When this sound occurred, a crowd gathered and was in confusion, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.Completely baffled, they said,“ Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that each one of us hears them in our own native language?Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and the province of Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene, and visitors from Rome,both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs– we hear them speaking in our own languages about the great deeds God has done!”

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he performs amazing deeds! His right hand and his mighty arm accomplish deliverance.The LORD demonstrates his power to deliver; in the sight of the nations he reveals his justice.
