Coasts and islands, listen to me; distant peoples, pay attention. The LORD called me before I was born. He named me while I was in my mother’s womb.

Like your name, God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with justice.

So, then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh— called“ the uncircumcised” by those called“ the circumcised,” which is done in the flesh by human hands.At that time you were without Christ, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world.But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh,he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create in himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross by which he put the hostility to death.He came and proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

When the satraps, prefects, governors, and the king’s advisers gathered around, they saw that the fire had no effect on the bodies of these men: not a hair of their heads was singed, their robes were unaffected, and there was no smell of fire on them.Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed,“ Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel and rescued his servants who trusted in him. They violated the king’s command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.Therefore I issue a decree that anyone of any people, nation, or language who says anything offensive against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego will be torn limb from limb and his house made a garbage dump. For there is no other god who is able to deliver like this.”Then the king rewarded Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.King Nebuchadnezzar, To those of every people, nation, and language, who live on the whole earth: May your prosperity increase.I am pleased to tell you about the miracles and wonders the Most High God has done for me.How great are his miracles, and how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

The LORD is great in Zion; he is exalted above all the peoples.Let them praise your great and awe-inspiring name. He is holy.

and said to them,“ I know that the LORD has given you this land and that the terror of you has fallen on us, and everyone who lives in the land is panicking because of you.For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two Amorite kings you completely destroyed across the Jordan.When we heard this, we lost heart, and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on earth below.

Today, the LORD will hand you over to me. Today, I’ll strike you down, remove your head, and give the corpses of the Philistine camp to the birds of the sky and the wild creatures of the earth. Then all the world will know that Israel has a God,

creating words of praise.” The LORD says,“ Peace, peace to the one who is far or near, and I will heal him.

All you inhabitants of the world and you who live on the earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, look! When a ram’s horn sounds, listen!

Then King Darius wrote to those of every people, nation, and language who live on the whole earth:“ May your prosperity abound.I issue a decree that in all my royal dominion, people must tremble in fear before the God of Daniel: For he is the living God, and he endures forever; his kingdom will never be destroyed, and his dominion has no end.He rescues and delivers; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth, for he has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”

Now, LORD our God, save us from his power so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, LORD, are God— you alone.

Nations rage, kingdoms topple; the earth melts when he lifts his voice.The LORD of Armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. SelahCome, see the works of the LORD, who brings devastation on the earth.He makes wars cease throughout the earth. He shatters bows and cuts spears to pieces; he sets wagons ablaze.“ Stop fighting, and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”The LORD of Armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. When the peoples hear, they will shudder; anguish will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.

Zion hears and is glad, Judah’s villages rejoice because of your judgments, LORD.

They replied to him,“ Your servants have come from a faraway land because of the reputation of the LORD your God. For we have heard of his fame, and all that he did in Egypt,and all that he did to the two Amorite kings beyond the Jordan— King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan, who was in Ashtaroth.

He has raised up a horn for his people, resulting in praise to all his faithful ones, to the Israelites, the people close to him. Hallelujah!

Exalt the LORD, Jerusalem; praise your God, Zion!For he strengthens the bars of your city gates and blesses your children within you.He endows your territory with prosperity; he satisfies you with the finest wheat.

Now there were Jews staying in Jerusalem, devout people from every nation under heaven.When this sound occurred, a crowd came together and was confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language.They were astounded and amazed, saying,“ Look, aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?How is it that each of us can hear them in our own native language?Parthians, Medes, Elamites; those who live in Mesopotamia, in Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome( both Jews and converts),Cretans and Arabs— we hear them declaring the magnificent acts of God in our own tongues.”

Sing a new song to the LORD, for he has performed wonders; his right hand and holy arm have won him victory.The LORD has made his victory known; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
