Tremble, you complacent women; shudder, you daughters who feel secure! Strip off your fine clothes and wrap yourselves in rags.

So tremble, you contented women. Tremble with fear, you who feel so secure. Take off your fine clothes. Wrap yourselves in rags.

Tremble, you women who are at ease, shudder, you complacent ones; strip, and make yourselves bare, and tie sackcloth around your waist.

Tremble, you women of ease; throw off your complacency. Strip off your pretty clothes, and put on burlap to show your grief.

民眾隨之、又有多婦擗而哀之、耶穌顧之曰、耶路撒冷之女乎、毋為我哭、當為己及子女哭、蓋日將至、人必曰、未妊者、未產者、未哺乳者、福矣、時、人將謂山曰、壓我、謂陵曰、掩我、

以臭代香、以索代紳、以童首代重髮、以麻布代華服、以烙印代姿容、

故我曰、爾勿我顧、我將痛哭、勿為我民女遭滅、強慰藉我、是乃萬軍之主耶和華、使異象谷起紛擾、遭蹂躪、迷亂之日、城垣傾圮、呼聲徹於山嶽、

爾在世奢侈宴樂、饜爾心於宰割之日、

耶和華興起震動大地之時、人將入於巖之窟、地之穴、以避耶和華之威烈、及其赫赫之榮光、

免我褫而裸之、俾如初生之日、使之如曠野、如暵地、因渴而死、

巴比倫處子歟、爾其下、坐於塵埃、迦勒底女子歟、爾無位、坐於土壤、不復稱為嬌嬈窈窕、取磨磨粉、去爾帕、解爾裳、跣足涉溪、必裸爾體、以暴爾醜、我必復仇、不恕一人、

為此、我將哀痛號咷、解衣裸體而行、哀嘷若野犬、悲鳴若鴕鳥、因其創不能醫、延及猶大、至於耶路撒冷、我民之門、勿告於迦特、勿哭於亞柯、我在伯亞弗拉、輾轉於灰塵、沙斐居民歟、爾其裸體、蒙羞而去、撒南居民不出、伯以薛人號咷、致爾失立足之地、

如是、亞述王必將埃及之俘囚、古實之俘虜、引之而去、無論老幼、裸體跣足、顯露其臀、以辱埃及、

爾必饑渴、裸裎、匱乏、服役於敵、耶和華所遣攻爾者、彼以鐵軛置於爾頸、迨爾滅亡、

我民女歟、爾其束麻、輾轉灰塵、爾其舉哀、號咷痛哭、若喪獨子、蓋殘賊者將倏然臨我、

耶和華興起、震動大地之時、人將入於巖之穴、磐之隙、以避耶和華之威烈、及其赫赫之榮光、

緣此、爾其束麻、哀哭號咷、蓋耶和華之烈怒未轉離我、

錫安之罪人恐懼、不虔之輩戰慄、曰、我儕孰能與烈火同居、與不滅之火並處、
