Their stronghold will fall because of terror; at the sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic,” declares the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem.

Their hiding places will be destroyed when terror strikes them. Their commanders will see their enemy’s battle flags. Then they will be filled with panic,” announces the Lord. His fire blazes out from Mount Zion. His furnace burns in Jerusalem.

万军之耶和华必带着雷轰、地震、巨响、旋风、暴风和烈火来临。

世上的一切居民啊，山上竖立旗帜的时候，你们要看；号角吹响的时候，你们要听。

焚烧之地——陀斐特早已为亚述王预备好了，那里又宽又深，堆着许多木柴，耶和华的气必如同一股硫磺火点燃那些木柴。

到那日，耶西的根必成为引导万民的旗帜，外族人都来寻求他，他的住处充满荣耀。

“人子啊，在我看来，以色列人已经变成了渣滓。他们是炉中的铜、锡、铁、铅，都是银渣滓。所以主耶和华说，‘你们既是渣滓，我要把你们聚集在耶路撒冷城。我要在烈怒中把你们聚集在城里熔化，就像人把银、铜、铁、铅、锡聚在高温的炉中熔化一样。我要聚集你们，把我的怒火倒在你们身上，熔化你们。你们要在城中熔化，就像银在炼炉中熔化。你们就知道我耶和华已将我的烈怒倾倒在你们身上。’”
