耶和華說：『誰去引誘亞哈上基列的拉末去陣亡呢？』這個這樣說，那個那樣說。隨後有一個靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說：『我去引誘他。』耶和華問他：『用甚麼方法呢？』他說：『我要出去，在他眾先知的口中成為謊言的靈。』耶和華說：『這樣，你去引誘他，必能成功。你出去，照樣做吧！』

你不可像那無知的騾馬，須用嚼環韁繩勒住，不然，牠就不會靠近你。

萬軍之耶和華必使雷轟、地震、巨響、旋風、暴風，並吞滅的火焰臨到它。

因為以色列家的人，或在以色列中寄居的外人，凡與我隔絕，在心中設立偶像，把陷自己於罪的絆腳石放在面前，卻來到先知那裏，要為自己的事求問我的，我－耶和華必親自報應他。我要向那人變臉，使他成為警戒和笑柄，並且我要把他從我民中剪除；你們就知道我是耶和華。先知若被騙說了一句預言，是我－耶和華騙了那先知，我要伸手攻擊他，把他從我百姓以色列中除滅。

耶和華啊，你的斥責一發，你鼻孔的氣一出，海底就顯現，大地的根基也暴露。

故此，上帝就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，

鞭子是為打馬，轡頭是為勒驢，刑杖正是為打愚昧人的背。

押沙龍和以色列眾人都說：「亞基人戶篩的計謀比亞希多弗的更好！」這是因為耶和華定意破壞亞希多弗的良謀，為的是耶和華要降禍給押沙龍。

耶和華說：「現在我要興起，要高升，要受尊崇。你們懷的是糠粃，生的是碎稭；你們的氣息如火吞滅自己。萬民必像燒着的石灰，又如斬斷的荊棘，在火裏燃燒。」

上帝的道是活潑的，是有功效的，比一切兩刃的劍更鋒利，甚至魂與靈、骨節與骨髓，都能刺入、剖開，連心中的思念和主意都能辨明。

你的智慧人在哪裏？萬軍之耶和華向埃及所定的旨意，他們既然知道，就讓他們告訴你吧！瑣安的官長愚昧，挪弗的官長受蒙蔽；作埃及支派棟梁的，帶領埃及走錯了路。耶和華使歪曲的靈滲入埃及中間，讓他們使埃及一切所做的都出差錯，好像醉酒之人嘔吐時東倒西歪一樣。

主又說：「西門，西門！撒但要得着你們，好篩你們像篩麥子一樣；

我以公平為準繩，以公義為鉛垂線；冰雹必沖去謊言的避難所，大水必漫過藏身之處。你們與死亡所立的約必廢除，與陰間所結的盟不得堅立；不可擋的鞭子揮過時，你們必被踐踏。

他手裏拿着簸箕，要揚淨他的穀物，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡。」

埃及人的心神在裏面耗盡，我要破壞他們的計謀。他們必求問偶像和念咒的，求問招魂的與行巫術的人。
