那时，因他发怒地就震动战抖，山的根基也震动挪移。他的鼻孔冒烟上腾，他的口发火焚烧，连煤炭也烧着了。他使天垂下，亲自降临，黑云在他脚下。

“你们要等候我，直到我兴起掳掠的日子；因为我已定意招聚列邦，聚集列国，将我的恼怒，我一切的烈怒，都倾倒在它们身上。我妒忌的火必烧灭全地。这是耶和华说的。

因为我们的上帝是吞灭的火。

那时这不法的人必出现，主耶稣要用口中的气灭绝他，以自己来临的光辉摧毁他。

他说：“耶和华从西奈来，从西珥向他们显现，从巴兰山发出光辉；从万万圣者中来临，从他右手向他们发出烈火的律法。

万民必像烧着的石灰，又如斩断的荆棘，在火里燃烧。”

耶和华啊，你发怒要到几时呢？要到永远吗？你的忌恨要如火焚烧吗？

所有过路的人哪，愿这事不要发生在你们身上。你们要留意观看，有像这样临到我的痛苦没有？耶和华在他发烈怒的日子使我受苦。他从高处降火进入我的骨头，克制了我；他张开网，绊我的脚，使我退后，又令我终日凄凉发昏。

我正观看的时候，有宝座设立，上面坐着亘古常在者。他的衣服洁白如雪，头发如纯净的羊毛。宝座是火焰，其轮为烈火。

大山因他震动，小山也都融化；大地在他面前突起，世界和住在其间的也都如此。他发愤恨，谁能立得住呢？他发烈怒，谁能当得起呢？他的愤怒如火倾泄而出，磐石因他崩裂。

因此，主—万军之耶和华必使亚述王的壮士变为瘦弱，在他的荣华之下必有火点燃，如同火在燃烧一般。以色列的光必变成火，它的圣者必成为火焰；一日之间，将亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜焚烧净尽，

在日落之处，人必敬畏耶和华的名；在日出之地，人必敬畏他的荣耀。他必如湍急的河流冲来，耶和华的灵催逼他自己。

祸哉！亚述，我怒气的棍！他们手中的杖是我的恼恨。
