The Lord will come from far away in all his power and glory. He will show his burning anger. Thick clouds of smoke will be all around him. His mouth will speak angry words. The words from his tongue will be like a destroying fire.

那時大地搖撼、震動，群山的根基也顫抖、搖撼，因為他發怒了。濃煙從他的鼻孔上騰，吞噬的烈火從他口中而出，火炭也從他那裡燃起。他又使諸天下垂，親自降臨；他的腳下是幽深的黑暗。

要知道，我們的神實在是吞噬的烈火。

然後這不法之人要被顯露出來。主耶穌要以自己口中的氣殺掉他，藉著自己來臨的顯現除去他。

以東的溪流將變成柏油，它的塵土將變成硫磺，它的土地將成為燃燒著的柏油——

那時，你們看見了就心裡歡喜，你們的骨頭必像嫩草一樣興盛；耶和華的手必向他的僕人們顯明，他必對他的仇敵惱怒。

每一個在戰亂中所穿的軍靴和滾在血中的戰袍，都必燒毀，成為燒火的燃料。

眾民必被燒成灰燼，好像砍下的荊棘在火中燒掉。

耶和華啊，這要到什麼時候呢？你要永久發怒嗎？你的嫉妒要像火那樣燃燒嗎？

「我繼續觀看，寶座已經安放好，亙古永存者入座了；他的衣服潔白如雪，他的頭髮純淨如羊毛；他的寶座是烈火的火焰，寶座的輪子是燃燒的烈火。

因此，主萬軍之耶和華必使衰敗臨到亞述王肥壯的勇士；在亞述王的榮耀之下，必有火燃起，如同烈火燃燒。以色列的光必成為火，他的聖者必成為烈焰，一日之內就把亞述王的荊棘和蒺藜焚燒吞噬；

這樣，人在日落之處必敬畏耶和華的名，在日出之地必敬畏他的榮耀；因為他必來臨，如湍急的洪流，被耶和華的風所驅使。

禍哉！亞述，我怒氣的棍！他們手中的杖就是我的憤怒。
