祂一发怒，大地震动，山的根基摇晃。祂的鼻孔冒烟，口喷烈焰和火炭。祂拨开云天，脚踩密云，亲自降临。

耶和华啊，你向我们发怒，要到何时呢？难道要到永远吗？你的怒火要烧到何时呢？

“路人啊，你们都无动于衷吗？你们看看，耶和华向我发烈怒，降祸于我，还有谁比我更痛苦呢？“祂从高天降下火来，焚烧我的骨头；祂在我脚前设下网罗，使我返回；祂使我凄凉孤寂，终日痛苦。

“我看见宝座已设立，上面坐着亘古长存者，祂的衣服洁白如雪，头发如纯净的羊毛。祂的宝座是火焰，宝座的轮子是烈火。

在祂面前，群山震动，丘陵消融。在祂面前，大地隆起，世界和世上的一切都战栗。祂发怒，谁能站立？祂发烈怒，谁能承受？祂的愤怒如火焰喷涌而出，磐石在祂面前崩裂。

因此，主——万军之耶和华必使亚述王强健的士兵疾病缠身，使火焰吞噬他的荣耀。以色列的光必成为火焰，他们的圣者必成为烈火，一日之间烧光亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜。

这样，日落之处的人必敬畏耶和华的名，日出之地的人必对祂的荣耀肃然起敬。祂必奔来，如被耶和华之气推动的急流。
