Though the Lord may give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers won’t be hidden any more, but your eyes will see your teachers;

主必使爾於患難中有餅可食、艱苦中有水可飲、爾師不復隱匿、爾目必常睹爾師、

Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them.

He might treat you like prisoners. You might eat the bread of trouble. You might drink the water of suffering. But he will be your Teacher. He won’t hide himself anymore. You will see him with your own eyes.

And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher.

Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes.

The Lord will give you meager bread and water during oppression, but your Teacher will not hide any longer. Your eyes will see your Teacher,

The sovereign master will give you distress to eat and suffering to drink; but your teachers will no longer be hidden; your eyes will see them.

Say,‘ The king says,“ Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.”’”

strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into God’s Kingdom.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones.

We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.

Behold, the days come,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing Yahweh’s words.They will wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they will run back and forth to seek Yahweh’s word, and will not find it.

For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,

You shall eat no leavened bread with it. You shall eat unleavened bread with it seven days, even the bread of affliction( for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste) that you may remember the day when you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.

Yahweh said,“ Even thus will the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them.”Then I said,“ Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals. No abominable meat has come into my mouth!”Then he said to me,“ Behold, I have given you cow’s dung for man’s dung, and you shall prepare your bread on it.”Moreover he said to me,“ Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem. They will eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness. They will drink water by measure, and in dismay;that they may lack bread and water, be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.

You will do as I have done. You won’t cover your lips or eat mourner’s bread.Your turbans will be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You won’t mourn or weep; but you will pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.

Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”

He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;
