Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them.

He might treat you like prisoners. You might eat the bread of trouble. You might drink the water of suffering. But he will be your Teacher. He won’t hide himself anymore. You will see him with your own eyes.

And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher.

Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes.

The Lord will give you meager bread and water during oppression, but your Teacher will not hide any longer. Your eyes will see your Teacher,

strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying,“ We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.

We do not see our signs; There is no longer any prophet; Nor is there any among us who knows how long.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD,“ That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the Lord.They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, But shall not find it.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, And mingled my drink with weeping,

You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction( for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.

Then the Lord said,“ So shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, where I will drive them.”So I said,“ Ah, Lord GOD! Indeed I have never defiled myself from my youth till now; I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has abominable flesh ever come into my mouth.”Then He said to me,“ See, I am giving you cow dung instead of human waste, and you shall prepare your bread over it.”Moreover He said to me,“ Son of man, surely I will cut off the supply of bread in Jerusalem; they shall eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and shall drink water by measure and with dread,that they may lack bread and water, and be dismayed with one another, and waste away because of their iniquity.

and say,‘ Thus says the king:“ Put this fellow in prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I return in peace.”’”

And you shall do as I have done; you shall not cover your lips nor eat man’s bread of sorrow.Your turbans shall be on your heads and your sandals on your feet; you shall neither mourn nor weep, but you shall pine away in your iniquities and mourn with one another.

Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
