Jerusalem staggers, Judah is falling; their words and deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence.

Jerusalem is about to fall. And so is Judah. They say and do things against the Lord. They dare to disobey him to his very face.

For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence.

我告訴你們：人所說的每一句無益的話，在那審判的日子，句句都要做出交代，因為憑你的話，你將被稱為義；也憑你的話，你將被定有罪。」

你們的國土荒涼，你們的城市被火燒毀；你們的田地，在你們面前被外族人吞噬，荒涼得就像被外族人覆滅了一樣。

禍哉！他們那樣的人！他們用虛謊之繩牽拉罪孽、牽拉罪惡，就像用套車之繩一樣。他們說：「讓以色列的聖者加快吧，加速他的工作吧，好讓我們看看！讓他所計劃的臨近吧，到來吧，好讓我們知道！」

要對所有的人施行審判，又要指證每個人以不敬神的方式所做的一切不敬神的事，以及不敬神的罪人所說的一切頂撞神的狂妄話。」

你們在嘲笑誰呢？向誰張大嘴巴、伸長舌頭呢？難道你們不是叛逆之子、虛謊之種嗎？

這子民當著我的面不斷地惹我惱怒，他們在園林裡獻祭，在磚頭上燒香；他們坐在墳墓之間，在隱祕處過夜；他們吃豬肉，器皿中有不潔之肉做的湯；他們說：『你就站在那裡，不要接近我，因為我比你聖潔。』這些就是我鼻孔中的煙，是終日燃燒的火。

他們譏諷、嘲笑，懷著惡意說欺壓人的話。他們說話出於高傲；他們開口褻瀆上天，他們的舌頭殃及全地。因此連神的子民也轉向那裡，喝了他們大量的水。他們說：「神怎能知道呢？至高者有知識嗎？」

耶和華說：「你們用話語頂撞我，還問：『我們是怎麼用話語頂撞你的呢？』你們說：『服事神是枉然的！遵守神所吩咐的，在萬軍之耶和華面前哀痛而行，有什麼好處呢？所以我們就稱傲慢的人有福；作惡的人不僅得以興旺，他們試驗神也得以逃脫。』」
