Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.

Tell those who do what is right that things will go well with them. They will enjoy the results of the good things they’ve done.

Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned!

Tell the righteous that it will go well for them, for they will eat the fruit of their labor.

Say to the righteous that it will go well for them, For they will eat the fruit of their actions.

“ Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Say ye of the righteous, that it shall be well with him; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Tell the righteous“ Good!” For they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

“ If you indeed obey the LORD your God and are careful to observe all his commandments I am giving you today, the LORD your God will elevate you above all the nations of the earth.All these blessings will come to you in abundance if you obey the LORD your God:You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the field.Your children will be blessed, as well as the produce of your soil, the offspring of your livestock, the calves of your herds, and the lambs of your flocks.Your basket and your mixing bowl will be blessed.You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.The LORD will cause your enemies who attack you to be struck down before you; they will attack you from one direction but flee from you in seven different directions.The LORD will decree blessing for you with respect to your barns and in everything you do– yes, he will bless you in the land he is giving you.The LORD will designate you as his holy people just as he promised you, if you keep his commandments and obey him.Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you belong to the LORD, and they will respect you.The LORD will greatly multiply your children, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your soil in the land which he promised your ancestors he would give you.The LORD will open for you his good treasure house, the heavens, to give you rain for the land in its season and to bless all you do; you will lend to many nations but you will not borrow from any.The LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always end up at the top and not at the bottom, if you obey his commandments which I am urging you today to be careful to do.But you must not turn away from all the commandments I am giving you today, to either the right or left, nor pursue other gods and worship them.

How blessed is every one of the LORD’s loyal followers, each one who keeps his commands!You will eat what you worked so hard to grow. You will be blessed and secure.

and follows my statutes and observes my regulations by carrying them out. That man is righteous; he will certainly live, declares the sovereign LORD.“ Suppose such a man has a violent son who sheds blood and does any of these things mentioned previously( though the father did not do any of them). He eats pagan sacrifices on the mountains, defiles his neighbor’s wife,oppresses the poor and the needy, commits robbery, does not give back what was given in pledge, prays to idols, performs abominable acts,engages in usury and charges interest. Will he live? He will not! Because he has done all these abominable deeds he will certainly die. He will bear the responsibility for his own death.“ But suppose he in turn has a son who notices all the sins his father commits, considers them, and does not follow his father’s example.He does not eat pagan sacrifices on the mountains, does not pray to the idols of the house of Israel, does not defile his neighbor’s wife,does not oppress anyone or keep what has been given in pledge, does not commit robbery, gives his food to the hungry, and clothes the naked,refrains from wrongdoing, does not engage in usury or charge interest, carries out my regulations and follows my statutes. He will not die for his father’s iniquity; he will surely live.As for his father, because he practices extortion, robs his brother, and does what is not good among his people, he will die for his iniquity.“ Yet you say,‘ Why should the son not suffer for his father’s iniquity?’ When the son does what is just and right, and observes all my statutes and carries them out, he will surely live.

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.

Even though a sinner might commit a hundred crimes and still live a long time, yet I know that it will go well with God-fearing people– for they stand in fear before him.

I was innocent before him, and kept myself from sinning.The LORD rewarded me for my godly deeds; he took notice of my blameless behavior.

Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. For a person will reap what he sows,because the person who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

Seek the LORD’s favor, all you humble people of the land who have obeyed his commands! Strive to do what is right! Strive to be humble! Maybe you will be protected on the day of the LORD’s angry judgment.

The LORD said to him,“ Go through the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of the people who moan and groan over all the abominations practiced in it.”

Go, my people! Enter your inner rooms! Close your doors behind you! Hide for a little while, until his angry judgment is over!For look, the LORD is coming out of the place where he lives, to punish the sin of those who live on the earth. The earth will display the blood shed on it; it will no longer cover up its slain.

Then once more you will see that I make a distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not.

The LORD said,“ Jerusalem, I will surely send you away for your own good. I will surely bring the enemy upon you in a time of trouble and distress.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!He will reward each one according to his works:eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality,but wrath and anger to those who live in selfish ambition and do not obey the truth but follow unrighteousness.There will be affliction and distress on everyone who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek,but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, for the Jew first and also the Greek.For there is no partiality with God.
