The Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will take away from Jerusalem and Judah everything they depend on: every bit of bread and every drop of water,

主万军之耶和华从耶路撒冷和犹大，除掉众人所倚靠的，所仗赖的，就是所倚靠的粮，所仗赖的水；

看哪，主—万军之耶和华要从耶路撒冷和犹大除掉众人所倚靠的，所仰赖的，就是所倚靠的粮，所仰赖的水；

看哪，主—万军之耶和华要从耶路撒冷和犹大除掉众人所倚靠的，所仰赖的，就是所倚靠的粮，所仰赖的水；

主——万军之耶和华要从耶路撒冷和犹大拿去众人倚靠的一切：粮食、水、

看哪！主万军之耶和华，快要从耶路撒冷和犹大，除掉人所倚靠的和所倚赖的，就是众人所倚靠的粮，众人所倚赖的水；

看哪！主万军之耶和华快要从耶路撒冷和犹大除掉人所依靠和所依赖的，就是所依靠的一切粮和一切水；

主－萬軍之耶和華從耶路撒冷和猶大，除掉眾人所倚靠的，所仗賴的，就是所倚靠的糧，所仗賴的水；

看哪，主－萬軍之耶和華要從耶路撒冷和猶大除掉眾人所倚靠的，所仰賴的，就是所倚靠的糧，所仰賴的水；

看哪，主－萬軍之耶和華要從耶路撒冷和猶大除掉眾人所倚靠的，所仰賴的，就是所倚靠的糧，所仰賴的水；

主——萬軍之耶和華要從耶路撒冷和猶大拿去眾人倚靠的一切：糧食、水、

看哪！主萬軍之耶和華，快要從耶路撒冷和猶大，除掉人所倚靠的和所倚賴的，就是眾人所倚靠的糧，眾人所倚賴的水；

看哪，主萬軍之永恆主、從耶路撒冷和猶大除掉眾人所倚靠的所倚賴的，眾人所倚靠的糧、眾人所倚賴的水；

看哪！主萬軍之耶和華快要從耶路撒冷和猶大除掉人所依靠和所依賴的，就是所依靠的一切糧和一切水；

萬軍之主耶和華、將去耶路撒冷及猶大之梃與杖、即其所恃之糧、所賴之水、

養生之百穀、解渴之水泉、豪傑之士、雄俊之夫、鞫民之官、先知之人、卜筮之輩、以及長老、五十夫長、貴介、謀臣、良工、巫覡、皆猶大耶路撒冷民所倚賴、而萬有之主耶和華悉奪之、

主萬有之主必自耶路撒冷及猶大、除民所倚者、所賴者、即所倚之糧、所賴之水、

See now, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: all supplies of food and all supplies of water,

Here is what the Lord who rules over all is about to do. The Lord will take away from Jerusalem and Judah supplies and help alike. He will take away all the supplies of food and water.

For behold, the Lord God of hosts is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah support and supply, all support of bread, and all support of water;

Note this: The Lord GOD of Armies is about to remove from Jerusalem and from Judah every kind of security: the entire supply of bread and water,

For behold, the Lord God of armies is going to remove from Jerusalem and Judah Both supply and support, the entire supply of bread And the entire supply of water;

For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah The stock and the store, The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water;

For, behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water;

Observe this: The Lord God of Hosts is about to remove from Jerusalem and from Judah every kind of security: the entire supply of bread and water,

For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

Look, the sovereign LORD who commands armies is about to remove from Jerusalem and Judah every source of security, including all the food and water,

For, behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah supply and support, the whole supply of bread, and the whole supply of water;

I will destroy your food supply, so that ten women will need only one oven to bake bread for their families. They will ration your food by weight, and though you have food to eat, you will not be satisfied.

Therefore, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the Mighty One of Israel, says,“ I will take revenge on my enemies and pay back my foes!

Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they?

So King Zedekiah commanded that Jeremiah not be returned to the dungeon. Instead, he was imprisoned in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace. The king also commanded that Jeremiah be given a loaf of fresh bread every day as long as there was any left in the city. So Jeremiah was put in the palace prison.

“ My lord the king,” he said,“ these men have done a very evil thing in putting Jeremiah the prophet into the cistern. He will soon die of hunger, for almost all the bread in the city is gone.”

This is what the Sovereign Lord, your God and Defender, says:“ See, I have taken the terrible cup from your hands. You will drink no more of my fury.

He called for a famine on the land of Canaan, cutting off its food supply.

But Sennacherib’s chief of staff replied,“ Do you think my master sent this message only to you and your master? He wants all the people to hear it, for when we put this city under siege, they will suffer along with you. They will be so hungry and thirsty that they will eat their own dung and drink their own urine.”

So my people will go into exile far away because they do not know me. Those who are great and honored will starve, and the common people will die of thirst.

“ Son of man, suppose the people of a country were to sin against me, and I lifted my fist to crush them, cutting off their food supply and sending a famine to destroy both people and animals.

Then he told me,“ Son of man, I will make food very scarce in Jerusalem. It will be weighed out with great care and eaten fearfully. The water will be rationed out drop by drop, and the people will drink it with dismay.Lacking food and water, people will look at one another in terror, and they will waste away under their punishment.
