民必降格、聲勿揚、若為神所憑者、其音微細、若從地出、

Brought low, you will speak from the ground; your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will come ghostlike from the earth; out of the dust your speech will whisper.

You will be brought down to the grave. You will speak from deep down inside the ground. Your words will be barely heard out of the dust. Your voice will sound like the voice of a ghost coming from under the ground. Your words will sound like a whisper out of the dust.”

And you will be brought low; from the earth you shall speak, and from the dust your speech will be bowed down; your voice shall come from the ground like the voice of a ghost, and from the dust your speech shall whisper.

Then deep from the earth you will speak; from low in the dust your words will come. Your voice will whisper from the ground like a ghost conjured up from the grave.

You will be brought down; you will speak from the ground, and your words will come from low in the dust. Your voice will be like that of a spirit from the ground; your speech will whisper from the dust.

儘管有人對你們說：「求問那些喃喃自語、念念有詞的招魂者和通靈者吧」，但百姓難道不應當求問自己的神嗎？難道應當為活人求問死人嗎？

耶路撒冷衰敗，猶大傾倒，因為他們的言行敵對耶和華，抗逆他榮耀的臨在。

我們的靈魂沉淪在塵土中，我們的肚腹緊貼在地。

到那日，人眼目的高慢必成卑賤，人的高傲也必會降卑，唯獨耶和華被高舉。因為必有萬軍之耶和華的一個日子，臨到所有傲慢高傲的和所有自高的，使他們成為卑賤；又臨到所有高聳挺拔的黎巴嫩香柏樹和所有巴珊的橡樹，臨到所有的高山和所有的峻嶺，臨到所有高大的塔樓和所有堅固的城牆，臨到所有塔爾施的船和所有華美的艇。到那日，人的高慢必會降卑，人的高傲必成卑賤；唯獨耶和華被高舉，而偶像必全然消逝。耶和華起來震動大地的時候，人必進入磐石穴、土洞中，躲避耶和華令人恐懼的面和他威嚴的榮光。到那日，人必把那些為敬拜而造的金偶像和銀偶像拋給田鼠和蝙蝠；這是為了在耶和華起來震動大地的時候，他們能進入磐石縫、巖隙中，躲避耶和華令人恐懼的面和他威嚴的榮光。

我要把它放在那些折磨你的人手中；他們曾對你說：『趴下，讓我們踩著你過去！』你就把自己的背當作地面、當作街道，任人踩著過去。」
