For you this whole vision is nothing but words sealed in a scroll. And if you give the scroll to someone who can read, and say,“ Read this, please,” they will answer,“ I can’t; it is sealed.”

For you, this whole vision is like words that are sealed up in a scroll. Suppose you give it to someone who can read. And suppose you say,“ Please read this for us.” Then they’ll answer,“ I can’t. It’s sealed up.”

And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed. When men give it to one who can read, saying,“ Read this,” he says,“ I cannot, for it is sealed.”

All the future events in this vision are like a sealed book to them. When you give it to those who can read, they will say,“ We can’t read it because it is sealed.”

For you the entire vision will be like the words of a sealed document. If it is given to one who can read and he is asked to read it, he will say,“ I can’t read it, because it is sealed.”

The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which, when they give it to the one who is literate, saying,“ Please read this,” he will say,“ I cannot, because it is sealed.”

The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying,“ Read this, please.” And he says,“ I cannot, for it is sealed.”

And all vision is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee; and he saith, I cannot, for it is sealed:

For you the entire vision will be like the words of a sealed document. If it is given to one who can read and he is asked to read it, he will say,“ I can’t read it, because it is sealed.”

And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which[ men] deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it[ is] sealed:

To you this entire prophetic revelation is like words in a sealed scroll. When they hand it to one who can read and say,“ Read this,” he responds,“ I can’t, because it is sealed.”

All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying,“ Read this, please;” and he says,“ I can’t, for it is sealed;”

我把神言人的警告綁着，將上帝所指教的封住，以免有學問的人閱讀它。

耶穌回答他們說：『天國的奧祕是給你們知道，而不是給那些人的。

但你呢、但以理啊，你要把這些話封閉着，把這卷書密封着、到末了時期。而大眾們卻要跑來跑去追求、使知識增長。』

他說：『但以理啊，去你的吧！因為這些話是已封閉又密封着、到末了時期的。

羔羊揭開了七個印之第一個時候，我觀看，就聽見四隻活物之中有一隻說着話像雷轟的響聲，說『你來。』

當那些時候，耶穌應時地說：『父啊，天地的主啊，我稱謝你，因為你將這些事向智慧通達的人隱藏起來，向嬰孩卻啓示了。

耶穌回答他說：『西門巴約拿，你有福啊，因為不是肉與血啓示了你，乃是我在天上的父啓示了你。

我看見在坐寶座者右手掌上有一卷書，裏面後面都寫着字，蓋上了七個印密封着。又看見一個很有力量的天使大聲宣傳說：『有誰配展開那書卷，來揭破它的七個印呢？』在天上沒有，在地上沒有，在地底下也沒有能展開或閱覽那書卷的。因為找不着一個配展開或閱覽那書卷的，我就大哭。長老中有一位對我說：『別哭了！你看，猶大支派的獅子、大衛的根、已經得勝，可以展開那書卷、而揭開其七印了。』我看見在寶座正中、就是四活物圈正中、和長老圈正中、有一隻羔羊站立着、像被屠宰過的。他有七個角七個眼睛，就是上帝之七靈、奉差遣往全地上去的。羔羊就來、逕由坐寶座者右手中拿取了。既取了那書卷，四活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羔羊面前，各執有絃琴和金爐子、滿盛着香、就是聖徒的禱告。他們直唱新的歌說：『你是配取那書卷、而揭開其印的；因為你曾被屠殺，曾用你的血從各族派各種語言的人、各民族各邦國中、買了人來，歸於上帝；
