大闢扼居險要、稱大闢之邑、四周築垣、在米羅之內。

耶和華、曰、以色列族爾往伯特利常干罪戾、在吉甲屢蹈愆尤、仍獻日祭、三年一次、十分取一、獻酬恩之祭與酵、樂輸之物、炫示於眾、蓋爾以此為悅。

不許爾灌奠、奉事耶和華、如行灌奠、不蒙悅納、所獻祭品、視若喪家之物、凡食之者、俱蒙不潔、所得糈糧、僅足一己之用、故無餘獻耶和華之殿。

壇高四尺、壇上有四角、壇長廣各一丈二尺、其式維方、

彼縱私心、以何惡之事為悅、故宰牛刲羊、與殺人斬犬無異、獻禮焚香與塗豕血、祈偶像無異。

民曰我欲崇拜至上之上帝耶和華、當獻何物、豈可以燔祭盈歲之犢、臚陳於前哉、抑耶和華將以牡綿羊數千為悅、或以萬溪流油為悅、我當以初產之嬰孩、贖我愆尤、抑以親生之骨肉、贖我邪念乎。

所當獻者、彼獻於我、自食其胙、我耶和華不以為悅、必念其惡、而降以罰、彼將求援於埃及、

彼牽牛羊、求我耶和華、我遐棄之、求而不得、

律法為後福之影、而實非其形、故不能以歲一獻祭、使來者得贖罪、

耶和華曰、恆獻禮物、與我何與、爾燔牡綿羊、焚肥畜之膋、我所厭惡、牛犢羔羊、牡山羊之血、我不悅懌。爾來覲我、穢我帷場、誰命之者。毋徒獻禮物、若馨香、月朔、安息日、聖會大日、俱我所厭棄、爾守節期、又復為惡、故我不悅。朔日節期、我心痛疾、我視若重負而厭之。爾曹殺人、雖舉手禱告弗輟、我必不俯聞、而遐棄爾。

今萬有之主耶和華、頒厥詔命、使爾號哭、薙髮衣麻、惟爾欣喜歡忭、宰牛殺羊、食肉飲酒、曰、寧圖飲食、明日死至矣。

以色列族之上帝、萬有之主、耶和華曰、燔祭之肉、爾可食之、與禮物無異。

郇山及耶路撒冷人、燔柴以祀我、我舉旌旆以衛之、亞述牧伯、見予旌旆、必將畏葸、遁於巖穴、我耶和華已言之矣。
