That fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley, will be like figs ripe before harvest— as soon as people see them and take them in hand, they swallow them.

It sits on a hill above a rich valley. The city is like a wreath of flowers whose glorious beauty is fading away. But it will become like figs that are ripe before harvest. As soon as people see them, they pick them and swallow them.

and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, will be like a first-ripe fig before the summer: when someone sees it, he swallows it as soon as it is in his hand.

It sits at the head of a fertile valley, but its glorious beauty will fade like a flower. Whoever sees it will snatch it up, as an early fig is quickly picked and eaten.

有禍啊我！我好像夏天的果子已被收盡，好像割取了葡萄剩下的零碎，沒有一掛可喫的，也沒有我心所羨慕的早熟無花果。

你所有的堡壘、簡直是無花果樹，有早熟的無花果；倘若被搖撼，就落在想喫的人口中。

以法蓮被酒灌倒的醉漢高傲的華冠有禍啊！他那燦爛美麗、行將凋殘之花、在肥美平谷之山頂上的、有禍啊！

從前以法蓮一說話，人都戰戰兢兢；他在以色列中居高位；但因服事巴力而有罪，他就死了。

儘管他像菖蒲那麼茂盛，也必有熱東風颳來，必有永恆主的風從曠野颳上來；他的水泉就乾涸，他的泉源就旱竭了；風必掠奪他所貯藏的一切寶器。

我發現了以色列像葡萄在曠野裏；我看見你們的祖先像無花果樹上先熟的果子、頭一季出的。他們卻到巴力毘珥、自己「分別為聖」歸於巴力，成為可憎惡，像他們所愛的偶像一樣；以法蓮呢——他們的榮耀必像鳥兒飛去：沒有生產、沒有懷胎、沒有成孕。

以法蓮受擊打，他們的根枯乾了，果子結不了啦；就使生產了，我也必殺死他們所愛的胎兒。

富足的也要因自己的降卑而誇耀；因為有財富的人必過去，如同草上的花一樣。日頭一出，帶着熱風，便使那草枯乾；它的花就凋謝，它美麗的樣子便消沒了。富足的人正在進行他的事業時、也必這樣衰殘。

以法蓮哪，我可怎樣評斷你呢？猶大啊，我可怎樣評定你呢？你們的堅貞就如早晨的雲霧，又如早散的朝露。

一眨眼間他們怎樣地成了荒涼啊！他們全都被可怕的災難滅盡了。就像個夢，醒了以後、便歸無有；你起來，就看不到其影像。

天上的星晨墜在地上，像無花果樹被大風搖動，丟下它未熟的果子一樣。
