其美飾之殘花、在膏腴山谷之上者、若夏前初熟之無花果、見者觀之、摘於手即啖之、

其狀甚華美莊嚴、勢若花將殘之邑、即建於膏腴平原岡之邑、必如夏前初熟之無花果、凡見之者、適摘於手即食之、

That fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley, will be like figs ripe before harvest— as soon as people see them and take them in hand, they swallow them.

It sits on a hill above a rich valley. The city is like a wreath of flowers whose glorious beauty is fading away. But it will become like figs that are ripe before harvest. As soon as people see them, they pick them and swallow them.

and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, will be like a first-ripe fig before the summer: when someone sees it, he swallows it as soon as it is in his hand.

It sits at the head of a fertile valley, but its glorious beauty will fade like a flower. Whoever sees it will snatch it up, as an early fig is quickly picked and eaten.

哀哉！我好像夏天的果子已被收盡，又像摘了葡萄所剩下的，沒有一掛可吃的；我心羨慕初熟的無花果。

你一切保障必像無花果樹上初熟的無花果，若一搖撼就落在想吃之人的口中。

禍哉！以法蓮的酒徒，住在肥美谷的山上，他們心裏高傲，以所誇的為冠冕，猶如將殘之花。

從前以法蓮說話，人都戰兢，他在以色列中居處高位；但他在事奉巴力的事上犯罪就死了。

他在弟兄中雖然茂盛，必有東風颳來，就是耶和華的風從曠野上來。他的泉源必乾；他的源頭必竭；仇敵必擄掠他所積蓄的一切寶器。

主說：我遇見以色列如葡萄在曠野；我看見你們的列祖如無花果樹上春季初熟的果子。他們卻來到巴力‧毗珥專拜那可羞恥的，就成為可憎惡的，與他們所愛的一樣。至於以法蓮人，他們的榮耀必如鳥飛去，必不生產，不懷胎，不成孕。

以法蓮受責罰，根本枯乾，必不能結果，即或生產，我必殺他們所生的愛子。

富足的降卑，也該如此；因為他必要過去，如同草上的花一樣。太陽出來，熱風颳起，草就枯乾，花也凋謝，美容就消沒了；那富足的人，在他所行的事上也要這樣衰殘。

主說：以法蓮哪，我可向你怎樣行呢？猶大啊，我可向你怎樣做呢？因為你們的良善如同早晨的雲霧，又如速散的甘露。

他們轉眼之間成了何等的荒涼！他們被驚恐滅盡了。人睡醒了，怎樣看夢；主啊，你醒了也必照樣輕看他們的影像。

天上的星辰墜落於地，如同無花果樹被大風搖動，落下未熟的果子一樣。
