That fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley, will be like figs ripe before harvest— as soon as people see them and take them in hand, they swallow them.

It sits on a hill above a rich valley. The city is like a wreath of flowers whose glorious beauty is fading away. But it will become like figs that are ripe before harvest. As soon as people see them, they pick them and swallow them.

and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, will be like a first-ripe fig before the summer: when someone sees it, he swallows it as soon as it is in his hand.

It sits at the head of a fertile valley, but its glorious beauty will fade like a flower. Whoever sees it will snatch it up, as an early fig is quickly picked and eaten.

我有禍了！因為我好像夏天採摘的果子，又像摘剩的葡萄，沒有一掛可吃的，也沒有我心所想望早熟的無花果。

你一切堡壘，如同無花果樹上初熟的果子，若被搖撼，就必落在想吃的人口中。

以法蓮那些醉漢所戴的高傲冠冕，有禍了！它在肥美谷山頂上的榮美，有禍了！它必如將殘的花朵，滿了喝醉酒的人。

從前以法蓮一說話，人都戰兢。他原在以色列中居高位，但後來因事奉巴力犯了罪，就死了。

他雖然在蘆葦中長得茂盛，但東風必要來到，耶和華的風要從曠野上來，他的水泉就乾涸，他的泉源就枯竭。他所貯藏的一切珍貴器皿，都被掠奪去了。

“我遇見以色列，好像在曠野裡遇見葡萄。我看見你們的列祖，像看見無花果樹初熟的果子。他們卻來到巴力．毘珥，專作羞恥的事，成為可憎惡的，像他們所愛的偶像一樣。至於以法蓮，他們的榮耀必如鳥兒飛逝；沒有生育，沒有懷胎，沒有成孕。

以法蓮被擊打，他們的根枯乾了，必不能再結果子。即使他們生產，我必殺死他們所生的愛子。”

富足的也不應該以降卑為辱；因為他如同草上的花，必要過去。太陽一出，熱風一吹，草必枯乾，花必凋謝，它的美容就消失了；富足的人也必在他的奔波經營中這樣衰落。

“以法蓮啊！我要怎樣待你呢？猶大啊，我要怎樣待你呢？你們的愛心像早晨的雲霧；又像瞬即消逝的朝露。

他們忽然間成了多麼荒涼，被突然的驚恐完全消滅。人睡醒了怎樣看夢，主啊！你睡醒了，也要照樣輕看他們（“他們”原文作“他們的影像”）。

天上的星辰墜落在地上，像無花果樹被大風搖動，落下還沒有成熟的果子。
