你们曾说：“我们与死亡立了约，与阴间定了协议；冲击而来的鞭子经过时，不会临到我们；我们以谎言为避难所，用虚假隐藏自己。”

但主耶和华如此说：“这事必立不住，也不会得逞，

你们筹谋吧，也终必遭挫败；你们开口吧，也终必不成立！因为神与我们同在！

以法莲酒徒的高傲冠冕，必被踩踏在脚下；

临到所有高大的塔楼和所有坚固的城墙，

天使又对我说：“你所看见的众水，那淫妇所坐的地方，就是许多民族、人群、国家和语言群体。

从其中的一只又长出一只小犄角，向南、向东、向那荣美之地长得极其强大。它变得强大，高达天军，把一部分天军、一部分星辰摔落在地，并踩踏它们。它高抬自己，要高达天军之首；它还除掉给天军之首常献的祭，使他的圣所之地被丢弃。因罪过的缘故，天军与常献的祭一同被交出去；这小犄角把真理丢弃在地，它所做的都顺利。然后我听见一位圣者在说话，又有一位圣者问那说话的：“这异象，就是有关常献的祭、带来荒凉的罪过、圣所和天军被践踏之事，要到什么时候呢？”

然后涌入犹大，漫溢泛滥，高达颈项！他展开的翅膀，遍满你广阔的土地，以马内利啊！”

万军之耶和华说：“看哪！那日子将要来到，燃烧如火炉；所有傲慢的和作恶的都必成为麦秸，那要来的日子必把他们烧尽，不留下一根一枝。至于你们这些敬畏我名的人，必有公义的太阳为你们升起，它的光线带来痊愈；你们必出来跳跃，像圈里的牛犊。”万军之耶和华说：“你们必践踏恶人；要知道，在我预备的日子，他们必在你们脚掌之下成为灰烬。

“末后的时期，南方王会与他冲撞。北方王必带着战车、马兵和许多战船，暴风般地攻击他，并侵入列国，如洪水漫溢，纵横穿越。

蛇就在那妇人后面，从口里吐出水来，像江河一样，要把她冲走。
