禍哉、以法蓮醉者高傲之冠冕、及其美飾之殘花、在膏腴山谷之上、其民沉湎於酒、

以法蓮建都於山嶺、望之若冠花冠、四周有谷、土壤膏腴、民人沉湎於酒、心志驕奢、不知浮榮易悴、禍將作矣。

以法蓮人沈湎於酒、其邑建於膏腴平原之岡、狀如華冠、華美莊嚴、遂以自誇、不知實似將殘之花、禍哉禍哉、或作以法蓮建都於高岡在膏腴之谷中狀若華冠其人沈湎於酒心高志傲不知其榮如將殘之花禍哉禍哉

Woe to that wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s drunkards, to the fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley— to that city, the pride of those laid low by wine!

How terrible it will be for the city of Samaria! It sits on a hill like a wreath of flowers. The leaders of Ephraim are drunk. They take pride in their city. It sits above a valley that has rich soil. How terrible it will be for the glorious beauty of that fading flower!

Ah, the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!

What sorrow awaits the proud city of Samaria— the glorious crown of the drunks of Israel. It sits at the head of a fertile valley, but its glorious beauty will fade like a flower. It is the pride of a people brought down by wine.

Woe to the majestic crown of Ephraim’s drunkards, and to the fading flower of its beautiful splendor, which is on the summit above the rich valley. Woe to those overcome with wine.

Woe to the proud crown of the habitually drunk of Ephraim, And to the fading flower of its glorious beauty, Which is at the head of the fertile valley Of those who are overcome with wine!

在我們王喜慶的日子，領袖們因酒的烈性而生病，王就與褻慢人聯手。

以法蓮的醉漢所戴的高傲冠冕，必被踐踏在腳下。它在肥美谷山頂上如將殘的花朵一般的榮美，必像夏天以前初熟的無花果。那些看見它的人，都必注意；一到手裡，就把它吞吃了。

就是這地的人，也因酒搖晃不定，因濃酒東倒西歪；祭司和先知都因濃酒搖晃不定，被酒弄至昏亂，因濃酒東倒西歪。他們見異象的時候，搖晃不定，他們判斷的時候，也顛顛倒倒。

淫行、酒和新酒，把人的心奪走了。

在以色列家！我看見了可怕的事；那裡有以法蓮的淫行，以色列被玷污了。

利瑪利的兒子比加在猶大一天之內殺了十二萬人，全是勇士，因為他們離棄了耶和華他們列祖的神。

他收復以色列的邊境，從哈馬口直到亞拉巴海，正如耶和華以色列的神的話，就是藉著他的僕人迦特希弗人亞米太的兒子約拿先知所說的；因為耶和華看見以色列十分艱苦，無論是自由的或為奴的都沒有了，也沒有幫助以色列的。耶和華沒有定命要將以色列的名從天下塗抹，所以藉著約阿施的兒子耶羅波安的手拯救他們。

那些勇於喝酒，又精於調和濃酒的人，有禍了！

以色列王比加在位的日子，亞述王提革拉．毗列色前來，攻取了以雲、亞伯．伯．瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利和拿弗他利全地，把居民擄到亞述去。

信差就帶著王和眾領袖發出的書信，走遍全以色列和猶大，照著王的吩咐，宣告說：“以色列人哪，你們應當轉向耶和華，亞伯拉罕、以撒和以色列的神，使他也轉向你們這些在亞述王手中逃脫的餘民。你們不要像你們的列祖和你們的親族，他們得罪了耶和華他們列祖的神，以致耶和華使他們成為令人驚駭的對象，就像你們自己所見的。

那些在錫安平靜安逸的，安穩在撒瑪利亞山上的，有禍了！你們是這列國中為首之大國的領袖，是以色列家所歸向的。

過了三年，他們就攻取了撒瑪利亞。希西家在位第六年，就是以色列王何細亞在位第九年，撒瑪利亞被攻取了。亞述王把以色列人擄到亞述去，把他們安置在哈臘、哈博河和歌散河，以及瑪代人的城裡；這是因為他們不聽從耶和華他們神的話，違背他的約；耶和華的僕人摩西吩咐的一切，他們都不聽從，不遵行。

‘但你們迫使拿細耳人喝酒，吩咐先知說：不要說預言。

誰有禍患？誰有愁苦？誰有紛爭？誰有怨言？誰無故受傷？誰的眼睛赤紅？

你們用大碗喝酒，用最貴重的膏油抹身；但你們並沒有為約瑟的敗落而痛心。

所有的人民，就是以法蓮和撒瑪利亞的居民，都要知道這事；他們憑著驕傲和自大的心說：

那些清早起來，追求濃酒，留連到晚上，以致因酒發燒的人，有禍了！

因為亞蘭的首都是大馬士革，大馬士革的首領是利汛；六十五年之內，以法蓮必定毀滅，不再成為一族之民。以法蓮的首都是撒瑪利亞，撒瑪利亞的首領是利瑪利的兒子；你們若不相信，就必定不得堅立。”’”

以色列的驕傲當面指證自己，以色列和以法蓮因自己的罪孽跌倒，猶大也與他們一同跌倒。

他們在各祭壇旁，躺臥在別人抵押的衣服上面；在他們神的殿中，飲用拿剝削回來的錢所買的酒。

因為在這孩子曉得喊叫父母以先，大馬士革的財寶和撒瑪利亞的擄物，必在亞述王面前被搬了去。”
