Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley of them that are overcome with wine!

祸哉！以法莲的酒徒，住在肥美谷的山上，他们心里高傲，以所夸的为冠冕，犹如将残之花。

以法莲酒徒引以为荣的华冠有祸了！它坐落在醉酒者肥美的山谷顶上，它的荣美如将残之花。

以法莲那些醉汉所戴的高傲冠冕，有祸了！它在肥美谷山顶上的荣美，有祸了！它必如将残的花朵，满了喝醉酒的人。

祸哉！以法莲酒徒的高傲冠冕——荣耀华美的将残之花！它就在醉酒人肥沃之谷的山顶上。

禍哉！以法蓮的酒徒，住在肥美谷的山上，他們心裏高傲，以所誇的為冠冕，猶如將殘之花。

禍哉！以法蓮酒徒高傲的冠冕，其榮美竟如花凋殘；他們在肥沃的山谷頂上，被酒擊敗。

以法蓮被酒灌倒的醉漢高傲的華冠有禍啊！他那燦爛美麗、行將凋殘之花、在肥美平谷之山頂上的、有禍啊！

禍哉！以法蓮酒徒的高傲冠冕——榮耀華美的將殘之花！它就在醉酒人肥沃之谷的山頂上。

禍哉、以法蓮醉者高傲之冠冕、及其美飾之殘花、在膏腴山谷之上、其民沉湎於酒、

以法蓮建都於山嶺、望之若冠花冠、四周有谷、土壤膏腴、民人沉湎於酒、心志驕奢、不知浮榮易悴、禍將作矣。

以法蓮人沈湎於酒、其邑建於膏腴平原之岡、狀如華冠、華美莊嚴、遂以自誇、不知實似將殘之花、禍哉禍哉、或作以法蓮建都於高岡在膏腴之谷中狀若華冠其人沈湎於酒心高志傲不知其榮如將殘之花禍哉禍哉

Woe to that wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s drunkards, to the fading flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley— to that city, the pride of those laid low by wine!

How terrible it will be for the city of Samaria! It sits on a hill like a wreath of flowers. The leaders of Ephraim are drunk. They take pride in their city. It sits above a valley that has rich soil. How terrible it will be for the glorious beauty of that fading flower!

Ah, the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!

What sorrow awaits the proud city of Samaria— the glorious crown of the drunks of Israel. It sits at the head of a fertile valley, but its glorious beauty will fade like a flower. It is the pride of a people brought down by wine.

Woe to the majestic crown of Ephraim’s drunkards, and to the fading flower of its beautiful splendor, which is on the summit above the rich valley. Woe to those overcome with wine.

Woe to the proud crown of the habitually drunk of Ephraim, And to the fading flower of its glorious beauty, Which is at the head of the fertile valley Of those who are overcome with wine!

Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, Whose glorious beauty is a fading flower Which is at the head of the verdant valleys, To those who are overcome with wine!

The splendid crown of Ephraim’s drunkards is doomed, the withering flower, its beautiful splendor, situated at the head of a rich valley, the crown of those overcome with wine.

On the day of our king the princes made themselves sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand with scoffers.

The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim shall be trodden under foot:and the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be as the first- ripe fig before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.

And even these reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they stagger with strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the understanding.

In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing: there whoredom is found in Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah a hundred and twenty thousand in one day, all of them valiant men; because they had forsaken Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

He restored the border of Israel from the entrance of Hamath unto the sea of the Arabah, according to the word of Jehovah, the God of Israel, which he spake by his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was of Gath- hepher.For Jehovah saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter; for there was none shut up nor left at large, neither was there any helper for Israel.And Jehovah said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven; but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink;

In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath- pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel- beth- maacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.

So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant that are escaped of you out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, who trespassed against Jehovah, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as ye see.

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and to them that are secure in the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!

And at the end of three years they took it: in the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.And the king of Assyria carried Israel away unto Assyria, and put them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,because they obeyed not the voice of Jehovah their God, but transgressed his covenant, even all that Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded, and would not hear it, nor do it.

But ye gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? Who hath complaining? who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes?

that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief oils; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in pride and in stoutness of heart,

Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that tarry late into the night, till wine inflame them!

For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken in pieces, so that it shall not be a people:and the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.

And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity; Judah also shall stumble with them.

and they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge; and in the house of their God they drink the wine of such as have been fined.

For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and, My mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be carried away before the king of Assyria.
