Hath he smitten them as he smote those that smote them? or are they slain according to the slaughter of them that were slain by them?

主击打他们，岂像击打那些击打他们的人吗？他们被杀戮，岂像被他们所杀戮的吗？

耶和華擊之、豈若擊彼擊之者乎、其見殺也、豈若殺之者之見殺乎、

雅各之家、雖遭譴責、不若敵之譴責尤深、雖被殺戮、不若敵之殺戮更慘、

雅各被主譴責、豈如其敵被主譴責、雖遇殺戮、豈如其敵所遇之殺戮、

Has the Lord struck her as he struck down those who struck her? Has she been killed as those were killed who killed her?

The Lord struck down those who struck down Israel. But he hasn’t punished Israel as much. The Lord killed those who killed many of his people. But he hasn’t punished his people as much.

Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or have they been slain as their slayers were slain?

Has the Lord struck Israel as he struck her enemies? Has he punished her as he punished them?

Did the LORD strike Israel as he struck the one who struck Israel? Was Israel killed like those killed by the LORD?

Like the striking of Him who has struck them, has He struck them? Or like the slaughter of His slain, have they been slain?

Has He struck Israel as He struck those who struck him? Or has He been slain according to the slaughter of those who were slain by Him?

Did the Lord strike Israel as He struck the one who struck Israel? Was he killed like those killed by Him?

Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him?[ or] is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

Has the LORD struck down Israel like he did their oppressors? Has Israel been killed like their enemies?

Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or are they killed like those who killed them were killed?

And the angel of Jehovah went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esar- haddon his son reigned in his stead.

For I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to save thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee in measure, and will in no wise leave thee unpunished.For thus saith Jehovah, Thy hurt is incurable, and thy wound grievous.There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not: for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased.Why criest thou for thy hurt? thy pain is incurable: for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that despoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

And I will rise up against them, saith Jehovah of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son’s son, saith Jehovah.I will also make it a possession for the porcupine, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith Jehovah of hosts.

At eventide, behold, terror; and before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that despoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith Jehovah.

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together; and all that took them captive hold them fast; they refuse to let them go.Their Redeemer is strong; Jehovah of hosts is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

And Jehovah hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.

There is no assuaging of thy hurt; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the report of thee clap their hands over thee; for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?

Thou, O king, sawest, and, behold, a great image. This image, which was mighty, and whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the aspect thereof was terrible.As for this image, its head was of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of brass,its legs of iron, its feet part of iron, and part of clay.Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon its feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them in pieces.Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing- floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, saith Jehovah, so shall no man dwell there, neither shall any son of man sojourn therein.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again lean upon him that smote them, but shall lean upon Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.For though thy people, Israel, be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them shall return: a destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.For a full end, and that determined, will the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, make in the midst of all the earth.Therefore thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian, though he smite thee with the rod, and lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.For yet a very little while, and the indignation against thee shall be accomplished, and mine anger shall be directed to his destruction.

And the fortress shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria; they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith Jehovah of hosts.
