O Lord, you have made our nation great; yes, you have made us great. You have extended our borders, and we give you the glory!

You have enlarged the nation, Lord; you have enlarged the nation. You have gained glory for yourself; you have extended all the borders of the land.

Lord, you have made our nation grow. You have made it larger. You have gained glory for yourself. You have increased the size of our land.

But you have increased the nation, O Lord, you have increased the nation; you are glorified; you have enlarged all the borders of the land.

You have added to the nation, LORD. You have added to the nation; you are honored. You have expanded all the borders of the land.

You have increased the nation, O Lord, You have increased the nation; You are glorified; You have expanded all the borders of the land.

Thou hast increased the nation, O Jehovah, thou hast increased the nation; thou art glorified; thou hast enlarged all the borders of the land.

You have added to the nation, Lord. You have added to the nation; You are honored. You have expanded all the borders of the land.

Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed[ it] far[ unto] all the ends of the earth.

You have made the nation larger, O LORD, you have made the nation larger and revealed your splendor, you have extended all the borders of the land.

You have increased the nation, O Yahweh. You have increased the nation! You are glorified! You have enlarged all the borders of the land.

You will enlarge the nation of Israel, and its people will rejoice. They will rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder.

All your people will be righteous. They will possess their land forever, for I will plant them there with my own hands in order to bring myself glory.

until the Lord finally swept them away from his presence, just as all his prophets had warned. So Israel was exiled from their land to Assyria, where they remain to this day.

“ Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense!For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.

I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.

For the Lord said,“ I will also banish Judah from my presence just as I have banished Israel. And I will reject my chosen city of Jerusalem and the Temple where my name was to be honored.”

Who can count Jacob’s descendants, as numerous as dust? Who can count even a fourth of Israel’s people? Let me die like the righteous; let my life end like theirs.”

“ The Lord will cause you to be defeated by your enemies. You will attack your enemies from one direction, but you will scatter from them in seven! You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

But though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand of the seashore, only a remnant of them will return. The Lord has rightly decided to destroy his people.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven:“ The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”The twenty four elders sitting on their thrones before God fell with their faces to the ground and worshiped him.And they said,“ We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who always was, for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign.The nations were filled with wrath, but now the time of your wrath has come. It is time to judge the dead and reward your servants the prophets, as well as your holy people, and all who fear your name, from the least to the greatest. It is time to destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth.”

All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name.For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God.

You made their descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and brought them into the land you had promised to their ancestors.

When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

Jesus replied,“ Now the time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory.I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels— a plentiful harvest of new lives.Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity.Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.“ Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray,‘ Father, save me from this hour’? But this is the very reason I came!Father, bring glory to your name.” Then a voice spoke from heaven, saying,“ I have already brought glory to my name, and I will do so again.”

A third of your people will die in the city from disease and famine. A third of them will be slaughtered by the enemy outside the city walls. And I will scatter a third to the winds, chasing them with my sword.

For the Lord will scatter you among all the nations from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship foreign gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods made of wood and stone!

Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done this wondrous thing. Shout for joy, O depths of the earth! Break into song, O mountains and forests and every tree! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob and is glorified in Israel.

When your ancestors went down into Egypt, there were only seventy of them. But now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars in the sky!

I would have annihilated them, wiping out even the memory of them.But I feared the taunt of Israel’s enemy, who might misunderstand and say,“ Our own power has triumphed! The Lord had nothing to do with this!”’

As soon as Judas left the room, Jesus said,“ The time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory, and God will be glorified because of him.And since God receives glory because of the Son, he will give his own glory to the Son, and he will do so at once.

Finally, in the ninth year of King Hoshea’s reign, Samaria fell, and the people of Israel were exiled to Assyria. They were settled in colonies in Halah, along the banks of the Habor River in Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

I will certainly bring my people back again from all the countries where I will scatter them in my fury. I will bring them back to this very city and let them live in peace and safety.

“ If they sin against you— and who has never sinned?— you might become angry with them and let their enemies conquer them and take them captive to their land far away or near.

For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.

After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said,“ Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.

There will be joy and songs of thanksgiving, and I will multiply my people, not diminish them; I will honor them, not despise them.

Your eyes will see the king in all his splendor, and you will see a land that stretches into the distance.

until the Lord has sent everyone away, and the entire land of Israel lies deserted.

For the Lord will scatter you among the nations, where only a few of you will survive.There, in a foreign land, you will worship idols made from wood and stone— gods that neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted!

They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end.
