有人对你们说：“当求问招魂的与行巫术的，他们唧唧喳喳，念念有词。”然而，百姓不当求问自己的神吗？岂可为活人求问死人呢？

愿他的后人断绝，名字被涂去，不传于下代！

仇敌到了尽头；他们遭毁坏，直到永远。你拆毁他们的城镇，连他们的名字也都消灭！

他以强而有力的声音喊着说：“倾覆了！大巴比伦倾覆了！她成了鬼魔的住处，各样污秽之灵的巢穴，各样污秽之鸟的窝，各样污秽可憎之兽的出没处。因为列国都喝了她淫乱大怒的酒；地上的君王和她行淫；地上的商人因她极度奢华而发了财。”

义人的称号带来祝福；恶人的名字必然败坏。

在那里，你们必事奉人手所造的神明，它们是木头，是石头，不能看，不能听，不能吃，不能闻。

到降罚的日子，灾祸从远方临到，那时，你们要怎么办呢？你们要向谁逃奔求救呢？你们的财宝要存放何处呢？

偶像有什么益处呢？制造者雕刻它，铸成偶像，作虚假的教师；制造者倚靠的是自己所做的哑巴偶像。祸哉！那对木头说“醒起”，对哑巴石头说“起来”的人！偶像岂能教导人呢？看哪，它以金银包裹，其中并无气息。惟耶和华在他的圣殿中，全地都当在他面前肃静。

说：“起来，带着小孩子和他母亲回以色列地去！因为要杀害这小孩子的人已经死了。”

惟独你被抛弃在你的坟墓之外，有如被厌恶的枝子，被许多用刀刺透杀死的人覆盖着，一同坠落地府的石头那里，像被践踏的尸首。你不得与君王同葬，因为你毁坏你的国，杀戮你的民。“恶人的后裔永不留名。为了祖先的罪孽，要预备他子孙的屠宰场，免得他们兴起，夺得全地，使城市遍满地面。”万军之耶和华说：“我必起来攻击他们，将巴比伦的名号和剩余的人，连子带孙一并剪除；这是耶和华说的。

我，惟有我是安慰你们的。你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，却忘记铺张诸天、立定地基、造你的耶和华？你因欺压者图谋毁灭所发的暴怒，终日害怕，其实那欺压者的暴怒在哪里呢？

那一日，耶和华拯救以色列脱离埃及人的手。以色列人看见埃及人死在海边。

你的死人要复活，我的尸首要起来。睡在尘土里的啊，要醒起歌唱！你的甘露好像晨曦的甘露，地要交出阴魂。

这是头一次的复活。其余的死人还没有复活，直等那一千年满了。

我又看见那兽和地上的君王，和他们的军队都聚集，要与白马骑士和他的军队作战。那兽被擒拿了；那在兽面前曾行奇事、迷惑了接受兽的印记和拜兽像的人的假先知，也与兽同被擒拿。他们两个就活生生地被扔进烧着硫磺的火湖里，其余的人被白马骑士口中吐出来的剑杀了；所有的飞鸟都吃饱了他们的肉。
