Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don’t see; but they will see your zeal for the people, and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.

As God’s ark came to Ekron, the Ekronites cried out, saying,“ They have brought the ark of the God of Israel here to us, to kill us and our people.”They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said,“ Send the ark of the God of Israel away, and let it go again to its own place, that it not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly panic throughout all the city. The hand of God was very heavy there.

O Yahweh, don’t your eyes look on truth? You have stricken them, but they were not grieved. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock. They have refused to return.
