你是贫弱者的保障，是贫穷人在危难中的保障；是躲避暴雨的避难所，是遮挡炎热的荫庇；因为强横者的鼻息好像暴雨击打墙壁。

因為你作了貧寒人的保障，窮苦人急難中的保障，可躲暴風雨的避難處，可避炎熱的陰涼地：因為強橫人噓的氣、好像冬天的暴風雨，

你是貧弱者的保障，是貧窮人在危難中的保障；是躲避暴雨的避難所，是遮擋炎熱的蔭庇；因為強橫者的鼻息好像暴雨擊打牆壁。

在強者肆行殘暴、如狂風衝突牆垣之時、爾為貧窮者之堅城、困乏者難中之保障、狂風中為避所、炎熱時為蔭庇、

強暴之人、若風撼墻、窮民遭難、爾扞衛之、颶風狂飆、爾扶翼之、烈日炎熇、爾庇蔭之、

卑弱者、貧窮者、遭遇患難、主為保障、護祐之脫離暴雨、庇蔭之免受炎熱、蓋強暴之人、勢如暴雨沖塌墻垣、

You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall

Poor people have come to you for safety. You have kept needy people safe when they were in trouble. You have been a place to hide when storms came. You have been a shade from the heat of the sun. Evil people attack us. They are like a storm beating against a wall.

For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall,

But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. You are a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat. For the oppressive acts of ruthless people are like a storm beating against a wall,

For You have been a stronghold for the helpless, A stronghold for the poor in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rain storm against a wall.

For You have been a strength to the poor, A strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones[ is] as a storm[ against] the wall.

For you are a protector for the poor, a protector for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the rainstorm, a shade from the heat. Though the breath of tyrants is like a winter rainstorm,

For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the dreaded ones is like a storm against the wall.

I will leave a meek and humble people among you, and they will take refuge in the name of the LORD.

Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the rain, like flowing streams in a dry land and the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.

The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. For this is what the LORD says:“ Even the captives of a mighty man will be taken, and the prey of a tyrant will be delivered; I will contend with the one who contends with you, and I will save your children.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Didn’t God choose the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?

What answer will be given to the messengers from that nation? The LORD has founded Zion, and his oppressed people find refuge in her.

My hand made all these things, and so they all came into being. This is the LORD’s declaration. I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and trembles at my word.

But he lifts the needy out of their suffering and makes their families multiply like flocks.

Then the LORD will create a cloud of smoke by day and a glowing flame of fire by night over the entire site of Mount Zion and over its assemblies. For there will be a canopy over all the glory,and there will be a shelter for shade from heat by day and a refuge and shelter from storm and rain.

Or let it take hold of my strength; let it make peace with me— make peace with me.

Your many foes will be like fine dust, and many of the ruthless, like blowing chaff. Then suddenly, in an instant,

The humble will have joy after joy in the LORD, and the poor people will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Then my people will dwell in a peaceful place, in safe and secure dwellings.But hail will level the forest, and the city will sink into the depths.

All my bones will say,“ LORD, who is like you, rescuing the poor from one too strong for him, the poor or the needy from one who robs him?”

He will have pity on the poor and helpless and save the lives of the poor.

I cling to your decrees; LORD, do not put me to shame.

but he will judge the poor righteously and execute justice for the oppressed of the land. He will strike the land with a scepter from his mouth, and he will kill the wicked with a command from his lips.

He saves the needy from their sharp words and from the clutches of the powerful.So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.

Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck down one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!

For you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and you have failed to remember the rock of your strength; therefore you will plant beautiful plants and set out cuttings from exotic vines.

“ Because of the devastation of the needy and the groaning of the poor, I will now rise up,” says the LORD.“ I will provide safety for the one who longs for it.”

LORD, be gracious to us! We wait for you. Be our strength every morning and our salvation in time of trouble.

May he vindicate the afflicted among the people, help the poor, and crush the oppressor.

he will dwell on the heights; his refuge will be the rocky fortresses, his food provided, his water assured.

therefore, tell those plastering it with whitewash that it will fall. Torrential rain will come, and I will send hailstones plunging down, and a whirlwind will be released.When the wall has fallen, will you not be asked,“ Where’s the whitewash you plastered on it?”“‘ So this is what the Lord GOD says: I will release a whirlwind in my wrath. Torrential rain will come in my anger, and hailstones will fall in destructive fury.

They said to him,“ This is what Hezekiah says:‘ Today is a day of distress, rebuke, and disgrace. It is as if children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.Perhaps the LORD your God will hear all the words of the royal spokesman, whom his master the king of Assyria sent to mock the living God, and will rebuke him for the words that the LORD your God has heard. Therefore offer a prayer for the surviving remnant.’”
