The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled in their land as straw is trampled down in the manure.

The Lord’ s power will keep Mount Zion safe. But the people of Moab will be crushed in their land. They will be crushed just as straw is crushed in animal waste.

For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trampled down in his place, as straw is trampled down in a dunghill.

For the Lord’s hand of blessing will rest on Jerusalem. But Moab will be crushed. It will be like straw trampled down and left to rot.

For the LORD’s power will rest on this mountain. But Moab will be trampled in his place as straw is trampled in a dung pile.

For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, And Moab will be trampled down in his place As straw is trampled down in the water of a manure pile.

For on this mountain the hand of the Lord will rest, And Moab shall be trampled down under Him, As straw is trampled down for the refuse heap.

Moab will be praised no more; in Heshbon people will plot her downfall:‘ Come, let us put an end to that nation.’ You, the people of Madmen, will also be silenced; the sword will pursue you. (niv)

Therefore, as surely as I live,” declares the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel,“ surely Moab will become like Sodom, the Ammonites like Gomorrah— a place of weeds and salt pits, a wasteland forever. The remnant of my people will plunder them; the survivors of my nation will inherit their land.” (niv)

On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not relent. Because he burned to ashes the bones of Edom’s king,I will send fire on Moab that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth. Moab will go down in great tumult amid war cries and the blast of the trumpet.I will destroy her ruler and kill all her officials with him,” says the Lord. (niv)

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit. (niv)

A prophecy against Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night!Dibon goes up to its temple, to its high places to weep; Moab wails over Nebo and Medeba. Every head is shaved and every beard cut off.In the streets they wear sackcloth; on the roofs and in the public squares they all wail, prostrate with weeping.Heshbon and Elealeh cry out, their voices are heard all the way to Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry out, and their hearts are faint.My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath Shelishiyah. They go up the hill to Luhith, weeping as they go; on the road to Horonaim they lament their destruction.The waters of Nimrim are dried up and the grass is withered; the vegetation is gone and nothing green is left.So the wealth they have acquired and stored up they carry away over the Ravine of the Poplars.Their outcry echoes along the border of Moab; their wailing reaches as far as Eglaim, their lamentation as far as Beer Elim.The waters of Dimon are full of blood, but I will bring still more upon Dimon— a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon those who remain in the land. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale will blow them away.
