逃於驚駭之聲者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、蓋天啟其牖、地震其基、

逃於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、蓋穹蒼破隙、大地震基、

逃於驚駭之聲者、必陷於坎阱、由坎阱而上者、必陷於網羅、蓋天牖大啟、地基震動、

Whoever flees at the sound of terror will fall into a pit; whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare. The floodgates of the heavens are opened, the foundations of the earth shake.

Anyone who runs away from the terror will fall into the pit. Anyone who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the trap. The Lord will open the windows of the skies. He will flood the land. The foundations of the earth will shake.

He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap, and those who escape the trap will be caught in a snare. Destruction falls like rain from the heavens; the foundations of the earth shake.

Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel,[ and] were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died:[ they were] more which died with hailstones than[ they] whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;[ Though] the waters thereof roar[ and] be troubled,[ though] the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

He shall flee from the iron weapon,[ and] the bow of steel shall strike him through.

Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.The gin shall take[ him] by the heel,[ and] the robber shall prevail against him.The snare[ is] laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction[ shall be] ready at his side.It shall devour the strength of his skin:[ even] the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because[ it is] none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold,[ if] the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see[ it] with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

And they pitched one over against the other seven days. And[ so] it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the Syrians an hundred thousand footmen in one day.But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and[ there] a wall fell upon twenty and seven thousand of the men[ that were] left. And Benhadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.[ They shall be] burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling[ also] with the man of gray hairs.I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
