地上的居民哪，驚嚇、陷阱、羅網都臨到你；

世人啊！恐怖、陷阱和網羅要臨到你們。

地上的居民哪！恐懼、陷坑和網羅，都臨近你們！

地上的居民哪，恐怖、陷坑、機檻、都臨到你身上了！

地上的居民哪，恐怖、陷坑和網羅都要臨到你們！

地上居民歟、驚駭坎阱機檻、悉臨於爾、

居斯土者、惟有驚駭、坎阱機檻而已、

斯地之居民乎、驚駭、陷阱、網羅、必臨於爾、

Terror and pit and snare await you, people of the earth.

Listen, you people of the earth. Terror, a pit and a trap are waiting for you.

Terror and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth!

Terror and traps and snares will be your lot, you people of the earth.

Panic, pit, and trap await you who dwell on the earth.

Terror and pit and snare Confront you, you inhabitant of the earth.

Fear and the pit and the snare Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

Terror, pit, and snare are ready to overtake you inhabitants of the earth!

Fear, the pit, and the snare, are on you who inhabit the earth.

Panic, pit, and trap await you, resident of Moab. This is the Lord’s declaration.He who flees from the panic will fall in the pit, and he who climbs from the pit will be captured in the trap, for I will bring against Moab the year of their punishment. This is the Lord’s declaration.

Then Jehu will put to death whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, and Elisha will put to death whoever escapes the sword of Jehu.

“ For this is what the Lord God says: How much worse will it be when I send My four devastating judgments against Jerusalem— sword, famine, dangerous animals, and plague— in order to wipe out both man and animal from it!

“ If you act with hostility toward Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will multiply your plagues seven times for your sins.I will send wild animals against you that will deprive you of your children, ravage your livestock, and reduce your numbers until your roads are deserted.

It will be like a man who flees from a lion only to have a bear confront him. He goes home and rests his hand against the wall only to have a snake bite him.
