When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people,[ there shall be] as the shaking of an olive tree,[ and] as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

事情必如此成就在大地之間、萬民之中，就像橄欖樹被搖打，又像葡萄收穫期結束後遺落的殘粒。

地上諸民、將若橄欖之被撼、如摘葡萄之所遺、

斯土之民、既遭斯難、尚有孑遺、若收橄欖果、拾葡萄實、猶留數顆、

斯國於列國中、景象如油果已收、葡萄已摘、留存無幾、

So will it be on the earth and among the nations, as when an olive tree is beaten, or as when gleanings are left after the grape harvest.

That’s how it will be on the earth. And that’s how it will be among the nations. It will be as when workers knock all but a few olives off the trees. It will be like a vine that has only a few grapes left after the harvest.

For thus it shall be in the midst of the earth among the nations, as when an olive tree is beaten, as at the gleaning when the grape harvest is done.

Throughout the earth the story is the same— only a remnant is left, like the stray olives left on the tree or the few grapes left on the vine after harvest.

For this is how it will be on earth among the nations: like a harvested olive tree, like a gleaning after a grape harvest.

For so it will be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, As the shaking of an olive tree, As the gleanings when the grape harvest is over.

When it shall be thus in the midst of the land among the people, It shall be like the shaking of an olive tree, Like the gleaning of grapes when the vintage is done.

For thus shall it be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive- tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

For this is how it will be on earth among the nations: like a harvested olive tree, like a gleaning after a grape harvest.

This is what will happen throughout the earth, among the nations. It will be like when they beat an olive tree, and just a few olives are left at the end of the harvest.

For it will be so within the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom,[ and] we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth,[ both] sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem,[ even] concerning all that I have brought upon it.And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to[ the image of] Baal.Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.And if by grace, then[ is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if[ it be] of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty[ and] two months.And I will give[ power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred[ and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

And it shall come to pass in that day,[ that] the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.The remnant shall return,[ even] the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea,[ yet] a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two[ or] three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four[ or] five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.

And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:Slay utterly old[ and] young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom[ is] the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which[ were] before the house.

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have[ some] that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.And they shall know that I[ am] the LORD,[ and that] I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of[ the multitude of] men.

But yet in it[ shall be] a tenth, and[ it] shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance[ is] in them, when they cast[ their leaves: so] the holy seed[ shall be] the substance thereof.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
