他们没有真心呼求我，只是在床上哭号。他们为求五谷和新酒而割伤自己，却背弃了我。

葡萄树枯萎，新酒停产，欢乐的人都发出悲叹。欢快的鼓声止息，悦耳的琴音消失，宴乐的喧闹不复听闻。再没有人对酒高歌，浓酒变得苦涩。

肥美的田园里听不到快乐的声音，葡萄园里也无人歌唱欢呼，榨酒池里无人榨酒。我已经使欢呼声止息。

老人不再坐在城门口，青年不再弹琴奏乐。我们心中的快乐消失，我们的舞蹈变成了哀哭。

“亚伯拉罕说，‘孩子啊！你要想想，你生前享福，而拉撒路受苦；如今他在这里得到安慰，而你受折磨。

万军之耶和华的烈怒必如火一般烧焦大地，人们成为烧火的柴，甚至弟兄彼此相煎。

因此，主——万军之上帝耶和华说：“哀号之声要响遍各广场，哭喊之声将充满大街小巷。农夫被叫来哭泣，哭丧者被召来哀号。每个葡萄园都传出哀恸的声音，因为我要从你们中间经过，惩罚你们。这是耶和华说的。”盼望耶和华的日子到来的人有祸了！你们为什么盼望耶和华的日子呢？那日将带来黑暗，而非光明。你们的光景将好像人逃避狮子，却遇上了熊，逃回家里，手扶墙壁，又被蛇咬。耶和华的日子将充满黑暗，毫无光明，一片漆黑，毫无亮光。

为我百姓那长满荆棘和蒺藜的土地，为那曾经充满欢乐的城邑和家庭哀哭吧！

他们抬头望天，低头看地，看到的尽是患难、痛苦和黑暗。他们必被扔进黑暗中。

摩押的沃土上再没有欢喜快乐的声音。我使榨酒池不出酒，再没有踩踏葡萄的欢呼声，欢呼被呐喊取代。
