All your leaders have fled together; they have been captured without using the bow. All you who were caught were taken prisoner together, having fled while the enemy was still far away.

看哪！主万军之耶和华快要从耶路撒冷和犹大除掉人所依靠和所依赖的，就是所依靠的一切粮和一切水；除掉勇士和战士、审判官和先知、占卜者和长老、五十夫长和尊贵人、谋士和有技艺的工匠，以及精通法术的。我要使孩子作他们的首领，使顽童管辖他们。百姓将彼此欺压，这人欺压那人，各人欺压自己的邻人；少年人侮慢老年人，卑微人侮慢尊贵人。人必在他的父家拉住自己的兄弟，说：“你有一件外衣，就作我们的统领吧！这破败的一摊就归你手下了。”那时，他兄弟必扬声说：“我不是包扎者，我家里没有粮食，也没有外衣。你们不要立我作百姓的统领。”耶路撒冷衰败，犹大倾倒，因为他们的言行敌对耶和华，抗逆他荣耀的临在。
