This is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says:“ Go, say to this steward, to Shebna the palace administrator:

The Lord who rules over all speaks. The Lord says,“ Go and speak to Shebna, the head servant. He is in charge of the palace. Tell him,

This is what the sovereign master, the LORD who commands armies, says:“ Go visit this administrator, Shebna, who supervises the palace, and tell him:

The Lord, Yahweh of Armies says,“ Go, get yourself to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,

希勒家的儿子管家以利亚敬、书记舍伯那和亚萨的儿子史官约亚，都出来见他。

他们呼叫王；希勒家的儿子王宫总管以利亚敬、书记舍伯那和亚萨的儿子史官约亚就出来见他们。

当时王宫总管希勒家的儿子以利亚敬、书记舍伯那和亚萨的儿子史官约亚来到希西家那里，他们的衣服都撕裂了，他们把拉伯沙基的话都告诉了他。

他差派管家以利亚敬、书记舍伯那和祭司中的长老，都披上麻布，去见亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚先知。

王又派王宫总管以利亚敬、书记舍伯那和祭司中的长老披上麻布，到亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚先知那里。

亚希煞作家宰；亚比大的儿子亚多尼兰掌管服劳役的人。

于是内务长、市长、长老和亚哈众子的导师送信给耶户说：“我们是你的仆人，你吩咐我们的，我们都必照办；我们也不会立什么人作王；你看怎样好，我们就怎样作。”

以利亚敬、舍伯那和约亚对拉伯沙基说：“请你用亚兰语对你的仆人说话，因为我们听得懂；不要用犹大语对我们说话，免得城墙上的人民听见。”

他就动身去了。有一个衣索匹亚人，是衣索匹亚女王干大基有权力的太监，掌管女王全部国库。他上耶路撒冷去礼拜。

于是希勒家的儿子管家以利亚敬、书记舍伯那和亚萨的儿子史官约亚，都撕裂衣服，来到希西家面前，把拉伯沙基的话告诉了他。

管理王的库房的，是亚叠的儿子押斯马威；管理郊野、城市、乡村和望楼的仓库的，是乌西雅的儿子约拿单；

希勒家的儿子以利亚敬、舍伯那和约亚对拉伯沙基说：“请用亚兰语和你的仆人们说话，因为我们听得懂；不要用犹大语和我们说话，免得传入在城墙上的人民的耳中。”
