to shine on those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light—

Jesus answered,“ The light will be with you only a little longer. Walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.While you have the light, believe in the light so that you may become sons of light.” Jesus said this, then went away and hid from them.

Happy are the people who know the joyful shout; Yahweh, they walk in the light of Your presence.

“ Cry out loudly, don’t hold back! Raise your voice like a trumpet. Tell My people their transgression and the house of Jacob their sins.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines over you.For look, darkness covers the earth, and total darkness the peoples; but the Lord will shine over you, and His glory will appear over you.

The sun will no longer be your light by day, and the brightness of the moon will not shine on you; but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your splendor.Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not fade; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your sorrow will be over.

and many peoples will come and say,“ Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us about His ways so that we may walk in His paths.” For instruction will go out of Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s glory illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb.The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.

Who among you fears the Lord, listening to the voice of His Servant? Who among you walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of Yahweh; let him lean on his God.Look, all you who kindle a fire, who encircle yourselves with firebrands; walk in the light of your fire and in the firebrands you have lit! This is what you’ll get from My hand: you will lie down in a place of torment.

The night is nearly over, and the daylight is near, so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy.But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.

Now this is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him.

For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or the darkness.So then, we must not sleep, like the rest, but we must stay awake and be serious.
