Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?

你們對世人可要罷休了；他不過有氣息在鼻孔裏罷了；他可算得甚麼？

你們不要再依靠世人，他們只不過鼻孔裡有氣息，他們算得了什麼呢？

勿恃世人、彼之生氣、僅在鼻中、何足算哉、

斯人也、呼吸之氣、出入於口、安能助人、勿以為可恃。

毋恃世人、世人僅有鼻中出入之生氣、出入之生氣或作呼吸之氣何足算哉、

Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?

Stop trusting in mere human beings, who can’t help you. They only live for a little while. What good are they?

Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?

Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they?

Put no more trust in a mere human, who has only the breath in his nostrils. What is he really worth?

Take no account of man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?

Sever yourselves from such a man, Whose breath is in his nostrils; For of what account is he?

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of?

Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. What is he really worth?

Cease ye from man, whose breath[ is] in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

Stop trusting in human beings, whose life’s breath is in their nostrils. For why should they be given special consideration?

Yahweh says:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh, and whose heart departs from Yahweh.

Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help.

Yahweh, what is man, that you care for him? Or the son of man, that you think of him?Man is like a breath. His days are like a shadow that passes away.

Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.

what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?

( for the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils);

Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

so that my soul chooses strangling, death rather than my bones.I loathe my life. I don’t want to live forever. Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath.What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him,that you should visit him every morning, and test him every moment?How long will you not look away from me, nor leave me alone until I swallow down my spittle?If I have sinned, what do I do to you, you watcher of men? Why have you set me as a mark for you, so that I am a burden to myself?Why do you not pardon my disobedience, and take away my iniquity? For now will I lie down in the dust. You will seek me diligently, but I will not be.”

All on the dry land, in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.

Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.

Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.
