Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?

你們不要再依靠世人，他們只不過鼻孔裡有氣息，他們算得了什麼呢？

勿恃世人、彼之生氣、僅在鼻中、何足算哉、

斯人也、呼吸之氣、出入於口、安能助人、勿以為可恃。

毋恃世人、世人僅有鼻中出入之生氣、出入之生氣或作呼吸之氣何足算哉、

Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?

Stop trusting in mere human beings, who can’t help you. They only live for a little while. What good are they?

Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they?

Put no more trust in a mere human, who has only the breath in his nostrils. What is he really worth?

Take no account of man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?

Sever yourselves from such a man, Whose breath is in his nostrils; For of what account is he?

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of?

Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. What is he really worth?

Stop trusting in human beings, whose life’s breath is in their nostrils. For why should they be given special consideration?

Thus says the Lord:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.

Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

O Lord, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him?Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.

yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

as long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,

then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

so that I would choose strangling and death rather than my bones.I loathe my life; I would not live forever. Leave me alone, for my days are a breath.What is man, that you make so much of him, and that you set your heart on him,visit him every morning and test him every moment?How long will you not look away from me, nor leave me alone till I swallow my spit?If I sin, what do I do to you, you watcher of mankind? Why have you made me your mark? Why have I become a burden to you?Why do you not pardon my transgression and take away my iniquity? For now I shall lie in the earth; you will seek me, but I shall not be.”

Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died.

Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust.

Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.
