又臨到黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹和巴珊的橡樹；

臨到黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹、巴珊的橡樹，

臨到黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹、巴珊的橡樹，

祂必毀滅黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹和巴珊的橡樹，

又要攻擊黎巴嫩所有高大的香柏樹，和巴珊所有的橡樹。

要攻擊利巴嫩高而昂的香柏樹，和巴珊的橡樹；

又臨到所有高聳挺拔的黎巴嫩香柏樹和所有巴珊的橡樹，

亦臨及利巴嫩高大之香柏、巴珊之橡樹、

凡利巴嫩干霄之柏香木、巴山之橡樹。

必伐利巴嫩諸高大之柏香木、巴珊之諸橡樹、

for all the cedars of Lebanon, tall and lofty, and all the oaks of Bashan,

The Lord has set that day apart for all the cedar trees in Lebanon. They are very tall. He has set that day apart for all the oak trees in Bashan.

He will cut down the tall cedars of Lebanon and all the mighty oaks of Bashan.

for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are so high and mighty, for all the oaks of Bashan;

Yea, the fir- trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid low, no hewer is come up against us.

Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.Wail, O fir- tree, for the cedar is fallen, because the goodly ones are destroyed: wail, O ye oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest is come down.

By thy servants hast thou defied the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir- trees thereof; and I will enter into its farthest height, the forest of its fruitful field;

Behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, will lop the boughs with terror: and the high of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be brought low.And he will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a forest- like shade, and of high stature; and its top was among the thick boughs.The waters nourished it, the deep made it to grow: the rivers thereof ran round about its plantation; and it sent out its channels unto all the trees of the field.Therefore its stature was exalted above all the trees of the field; and its boughs were multiplied, and its branches became long by reason of many waters, when it shot them forth.All the birds of the heavens made their nests in its boughs; and under its branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young; and under its shadow dwelt all great nations.Thus was it fair in its greatness, in the length of its branches; for its root was by many waters.The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it; the fir- trees were not like its boughs, and the plane- trees were not as its branches; nor was any tree in the garden of God like unto it in its beauty.I made it fair by the multitude of its branches, so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it.Therefore thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because thou art exalted in stature, and he hath set his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;I will even deliver him into the hand of the mighty one of the nations; he shall surely deal with him; I have driven him out for his wickedness.And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the watercourses of the land; and all the peoples of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.
