過了許多年，埃及王死了。以色列人因做苦工，就嘆息哀求；他們因苦工所發出的哀聲達於上帝。

等候福樂的盼望，並等候至大的上帝和我們的救主耶穌基督的榮耀顯現。

但耶和華如此說：「就是勇士所擄掠的，也可以奪回；殘暴者所搶的，也可以得解救。與你相爭的，我必與他相爭，我也要拯救你的兒女。我必使那欺壓你的吃自己的肉，飲自己的血，如喝甜酒喝醉一樣。凡有血肉之軀的都必知道我－耶和華是你的救主，是你的救贖主，是雅各的大能者。」

我的百姓既是白白地被擄，如今我在這裏做甚麼呢？這是耶和華說的。轄制他們的人歡呼，我的名終日不斷受褻瀆，這是耶和華說的。

並要在患難之日求告我，我必搭救你，你也要榮耀我。」

你們要近前來說明，讓他們彼此商議。誰從古時指明這事？誰從上古述說它？不是我－耶和華嗎？除了我以外，再沒有上帝；我是公義的上帝，又是救主；除了我以外，再沒有別的了。「地的四極都當轉向我，就必得救；因為我是上帝，再沒有別的。
