And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the Lord Almighty is planning against them.

The people of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians. Everyone in Egypt who hears the name of Judah will be terrified. That’s because of what the Lord who rules over all is planning to do to them.

And the land of Judah will become a terror to the Egyptians. Everyone to whom it is mentioned will fear because of the purpose that the Lord of hosts has purposed against them.

Just to speak the name of Israel will terrorize them, for the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has laid out his plans against them.

The land of Judah will terrify Egypt; whenever Judah is mentioned, Egypt will tremble because of what the LORD of Armies has planned against it.

The land of Judah will become a cause of shame to Egypt; everyone to whom it is mentioned will be in great fear because of the plan of the Lord of armies which He is making against them.

And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts which He has determined against it.

斯世之億兆、藐乎其小、有如無物、天下軍旅、地下人民、上帝隨意而作、其取之、孰能禦之、其為之、孰能詰之、

希西家王十四年、亞述王、西拿基立、攻陷猶大諸邑、

使埃及人知我乃耶和華、昔以色列家賴爾埃及、若恃葦杖、彼執爾手、爾強脫之、致彼肩骨差失、彼親爾、爾突然去之、致彼腰骨閃損。

耶利米在答比匿時、耶和華諭之曰、在答比匿邑、法老宮前、有陶瓦之所、爾以大石藏之於土、使猶大人目睹、告之曰、萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我必使我僕、巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒至此、置位張幕於藏石之所、既至、必擊埃及人、或亡於疾病、或戮於鋒刃、或被虜而去。我必使巴比倫王火埃及人上帝之龕、或焚或遷、以埃及之榮歸於一己、如牧者衣衣、後必安然他往。埃及地伯示麥邑之偶像則毀之、埃及人上帝之殿則焚之。

其得脫於鋒刃、自埃及復歸猶大者、寥寥無幾、厥後猶大遺民、欲往居埃及者必知所應、何人之言、彼與抑我與。耶和華又曰、我必罰爾、使爾知我言必有效驗、有兆堪徵。我耶和華以埃及王法老哈拉、付於敵手、如前日我以猶大王西底家、付於敵巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒手。

亦至埃及王法老、以及群臣眾庶、與非同族者、

自始迄終、未來之事、我一一預言、我旨必成、意必就。召彼鷙鳥、至自東土、我所簡者、來自遠方、我言已出、必踐之、我意已定、必成之、

爾必告之曰、萬有之主以色列族之上帝耶和華云、予必擊爾以鋒刃、當飲斯爵、至於酩酊、至於哇吐、顛躓不起。如彼不受爵、不肯飲、爾當曰、萬有之主耶和華曰、爾必飲之。我既降災於斯邑、及籲我名之所、爾豈能免於患難、今以鋒刃、遍擊天下億兆、爾豈能逭厥刑罰。爾宜傳命、告眾曰、耶和華在上、居於聖宮、雷聲遠震、霹靂轟聞、既攻億兆、必若踐葡萄果者、號呼不已。聲聞自地極、我耶和華欲罰列邦、降災億兆、使作惡者無不飲刃。

是時耶和華諭亞麼士子以賽亞云、爾身衣麻、足曳履、俱當去之。以賽亞遵命、裸裎跣足而行、耶和華曰、我僕以賽亞裸裎跣足、行於衢路、已閱三年、可為預兆、以示埃及古實人。斯後亞述王、伐埃及、古實、虜其旄倪、使之裸裎跣足、露其下體、以凌辱之。昔瀕海之民、惟埃及是誇、古實是恃、後必蒙羞而懹恐、曰、我素望彼、得救於亞述王、今彼敗亡、我何能免於難哉。

此我所命於天下、所行於列國中。我萬有之主耶和華命之、誰得廢之、行之、孰能禦之。
