In that day the Egyptians will become weaklings. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them.

In days to come, the people of Egypt will become weak. The Lord who rules over all will raise his hand against them. Then they will tremble with fear.

In that day the Egyptians will be like women, and tremble with fear before the hand that the Lord of hosts shakes over them.

In that day the Egyptians will be as weak as women. They will cower in fear beneath the upraised fist of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

耶和華必使埃及的海灣全然毀壞，他舉手在大河之上颳起了暴熱的風，擊打它，使它分成七條溪流，人穿鞋便可渡過。

巴比倫的勇士停止爭戰，躲在堡壘之中。他們的力氣耗盡，他們變成與婦女一樣。巴比倫的住處焚燒，門閂都折斷了。

看哪，你中間的士兵是婦女，你國中的關口向仇敵敞開，你的門閂被火焚燒。

當那日，亞述王要在挪伯停留，揮手攻擊錫安的山，就是耶路撒冷的山。

有刀劍臨到它的馬匹、戰車，和其中混居的各族，他們變成與婦女一樣；有刀劍臨到它的寶物，寶物就被搶奪。

耶和華必使人聽見他威嚴的聲音，又以極大的憤怒、吞滅的火焰、雷雨、暴風和像石塊的冰雹，使人看見他降罰的膀臂。亞述必因耶和華的聲音驚惶，耶和華必用杖擊打它。耶和華必將定規要打的杖加在它身上；每打一下，都必配合擊鼓彈琴的節奏。打仗時，耶和華必振臂與它交戰。

看哪，我要揮手攻擊他們，他們就必作自己奴僕的擄物。」你們就知道萬軍之耶和華差遣了我。

一人叱喝，令千人逃跑，五人叱喝，你們都逃跑；以致剩下的如山頂的旗杆，如山岡上的大旗。

落在永生上帝的手裏真是可怕呀！

戰兢在那裏抓住他們，他們好像臨產的婦人一樣陣痛。

耶和華如此說：「我們聽見顫抖的聲音，令人懼怕，沒有平安。你們且訪查看看，男人會生孩子嗎？我怎麼看見人人都用手撐腰，像臨產的婦人，臉都發白了呢？哀哉！那日為大，無日可比；這是雅各遭難的時刻，但他必從患難中得拯救。」
